Blue's Rest is a working farm. This campsite is at the base of a mountain which is 180 metres high and forms the rear boundary of the property. Blue's Rest offers beautiful campsites besides the running creek where you can enjoy the sounds of water babbling through the rocks in one of the prettiest spots you will find. Our Creek Gully Campsite is a large flat campsite next to a small rocky creek which has trickling water. The site looks across the creek and through to the mountain which sometimes has cloud on the top of it. You can drive in with a large van without having to reverse. The campsite is on an acre of flat land which you can use. This is a solo campsite and the nearest thing is the farm shed approximately 200 metres away. Our Creekside Campsites allows you to choose your own site between the trees and enjoy the serenity of the property. For those who love to swim, the campsites have access to a deep water hole approximately 200 metres downstream on the property. The property is just over an hour from the Lamington National Park where you can enjoy some lovely walks, spot some wildlife or enjoy a picnic in nature. There are plenty of other National Parks and beautiful nature areas to explore in the nearby area. Campers must be fully self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and take all waste with them on departure. Dogs kept on a leash are welcome (1 per site and provided you clean up any droppings) and campfires are permitted outside of restrictions.

Perfection

If you want peace, tranquility and getting in touch with nature, this is the site for you. A nice drive out in the country not to far from the big cities gives you a campsite like no other. Located meters from Christmas creek, you have the place to yourself with no other campers nearby, just a few friendly cows and horses. The site is well maintained and fenced off from the animals to give you privacy which is also kid and pet friendly. Wake up in the morning to the birds singing and the bacon crackling then a morning dip. Honestly loved this site so much and will be back.

Camping with two small vans was perfect at Christmas Creek No 1. It was a serene and secluded site next to the creek. Close to Stinson Park and Stinson walk in the Lamington National Park.

Serenity at its finest

Beautiful Creekside Camp, if your looking for a peaceful location with privacy look no further! We had a lovely stay at Cliff's gorgeous property and would have no hesitation recommending it. Enjoyed the cattle and horses grazing near by, really added to the ambience. No phone reception available (but this suited us just fine as we wanted completely off grid)

Second visit, never going home

This is the second time camping on Cliff's beautiful property. This time we camped right next to Chrismas Creek. To fall asleep at night listening to the stream was heavenly. Even though our visit was in summer this area provided plenty of shade, and of course a dip in the pristine waters of Christmas Creek was quite refreshing on a hot summers day. We have done many Hipcamps and Cliff's property was our best one yet. Thanks Cliff for providing us with the beatiful setting to relax, allowing us the privacy to just do and be as we wanted.

Day Creek Site

Private camping on Cliff’s farm with creek and mountain views. Horses and cows love to come for a visit, and we also saw goanna, wallabies and heaps of bird life. Easy access although be mindful of second bridge if you’re towing a caravan. Great choice if you’re looking for secluded camping.

Beginner campers - great experience

Perfect and the drive in itself to the place is well worth a visit. We stayed for only one night and had a great time. Did not get to meet the host and kind of that's a plus on giving us space. The spot is close to a road but it's not busy at all. Wonderful sound of the creek flowing and in general being the only ones at the spot. Its accessible by 2WD or a car. Recommended

Lovely Peaceful Campsite

Lovely peaceful campsite beside a small creek wit a fire pit. It’s a nice mowed flat area to set up camp. Cliff stopped by to say hello and showed us a great swimming hole. The weather was beautiful so we spent most of the day swimming and the dog loved it too.

Creek camping at its finest.

We took our Camper for a couple of nights at Christmas Creek. Cliff has a well maintained Property with good walking tracks in varied intensity. The creek was beautiful, great for a wade to cool off, with deeper holes up or down from the camp. Livestock were friendly with a few cheeky heifers popping in to say hello. Will definitely be back and highly recommend. Cheers.

Loved it. Highly recommend if you want a spot to just switch off from everything and listen to the creek run. Swimming spot is awesome to cool off. The hike up the hill views are 10/10 for sunset.

Absolutely idyllic, private spot. It was amazing to camp right beside a beautiful, crystal clear stream. We had a lovely time taking our bikes into the rainforest. This is our favourite Hipcamp by far. Cliff was a great host, very friendly and thoughtful. I can't wait to return, perhaps in summer to take advantage of the swimming hole.

Enchanting Creekside Camp 🏕

Beautiful! One of the most enchanting camps we have been to. Lovely host, private camp on a crystal clear creek. There is a road above the camp but it’s not busy and the cars can’t see you. Beautiful rock formations around. The bird life was lovely too, red grass parrots in the trees and little water birds browsing amongst the creek rocks.

Private, secluded creek side spot

This is such a lovely spot right beside a creek with the sound of the water constantly running. It is right near a road but there were hardly any cars passing by. Easily accessible by 2WD car. It rained while we were there and there was quite a bit of mud around so a ground tarp was essential. We loved it so much we’d love to stay again (hopefully when it’s dry though).

Ahh the serenity!!

Cliffs' farm is a must do for anyone who loves serenity and nature. Ian provided us with great directions, the google map sent us straight to our camping spot on his property. It was just over an hours trip from Brisbane, so not far at all. It was so peaceful, the only sounds we could hear were the sounds of the birds, the trickle of water in the stream and the crackling fire. We absolutely loved the property. In fact we loved it so much we asked if we could stay an extra night. Cliff was very accommodating, we got to enjoy a longer stay. We went for walks all over the farm and got to know the friendly farm animals. It's difficult to describe how much we loved camping right next to Christmas Creek with not a sole around, so you will have to come and try it for yourself. But don't tell too many people shhhhh!
