Enjoy the natural beauty of Tamborine, QLD, camping under 100-year-old pine trees, with native animals, lush ferns and a seasonal pebble creek.  We offer basic bush camping, you must be self-contained with your own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with you on departure. Leave No Trace.  Enjoy the sound of the running creek (seasonal) by day and sit by the campfire, under the stars at night. Pets welcome too.  Campfires are permitted in the communal fire pit provided. Please respect any restrictions in place at the time of your stay. Pets are welcome! Listen to the sounds of the birds, whilst taking a walk by the creek. Be sure to check out the view on the north side of Tamborine mountain overlooking farms, ideal for beautiful sunsets! Up for excitement? Visit Thunderbird Park or the Skywalk, only 10 minutes away. Or take a swim at Cedar creek falls. If you are interested in food and wine head up to Tamborine Mountain and enjoy the cafes and restaurants.

Not a happy camper
Unfortunately this was not a great experience for my wife and I, initial contact with owner was positive, although upon arrival most of area was un-maintained and cordoned off. The stay was meant to be a 3 nights which we lasted 1, due to the near by pet resort having constant dog barking from the time of arrival and early into the morning which there was no escape. We were searching a peaceful retreat on our long over due holiday. The owner and child were riding quad bikes past the site but at no stage stopped to introduce themselves just added to the noise of obsessive barking. Prior leaving this site we attempted to clean up some of the pre-campers rubbish left around to achieve a cleaner site then the arrival condition notifying the owner. Sent message to the owner on departure stating our disgust for the above reasons and still have not received a reply. Would not recommend this stay for this price listed, literally wasted our time and money. I’m very unhappy.

Terrible, do not recommend
Was very disappointed on arrival as we got bogged in our motorhome and rubbish was everywhere ! Rubbish was everywhere around the site there was dangerous scrap tin by the Creek especially if you have yound children. The Creek was very muddy and slippery causing an injury to back when I slipped over and a dead dog was found at the Creek which was extremely distressing to my children . Camp site 2 We were camping next to scrap yard and it's very close to dog kennels in which it sounds like a million dogs and like are barking all at once .definitely not worth $70 plus fees . Do not recommend. Was happy to receive a refund in full from hipcamps.

Muddy after rain
Rained the night before our stay so had to stay on high ground. If we only had 4WD we could have got a better spot. Where we were had rubbish left around. I see what people mean by barking dogs and motorbike noise! Lots of mud surrounding us.

Wow did the whole rainforest in the rain. Beautiful spot the creek, sandy creek was flowing fresh chilly but spent most of our time down there. In and out of the water. The sounds of the water matched with whip birds, rainbow lorikeets, doves crows and other birds created a peaceful pleasant atmosphere. Great spot for a fire nice big pit able to keep a flame in the rain. So private place was ours not a soul to be seen. Dogs in the local shack were barking but they were secure but not bothing so our puppy will come with us next time. Dirt bikes and car a couple of cars in the distance but that's paddocks and farms if I had half the chance we'd be doing the same. Great spot thanks danielle love your camp site seen you soon🥰
