We live on 20 acres of wooded property with a 2 and a half acre pond, with fishing and swimming and kayaking available. There is a lot of wildlife around. We are just minutes away from Ricketts Glen State Park where you can hike & Lake Jean where you can swim, kayak, fish. The town of Benton with its small shops and businesses are just 8 miles down the road.Pitch your tent on the breast of the pond or just off of our more than 2 acre pond, next to a lovely bubbling stream. Enjoy a campfire while listening to the night critters sing their songs. Our home is visible from most sites, but you will have privacy. Feel free to walk up and see the pigs, rabbits and chickens.

Such a lovely camping spot! Kathy was very welcoming and helpful. Campsites were mostly visible to each other around the pond but appropriately dispersed. Beautiful wooded area to explore. One of the better outhouses I’ve experienced as far as cleanliness and privacy.

Exactly What We Needed
Cathy sets the standard for what a Hipcamp experience should be. Due to work obligations we couldn't get on the road until 7, which meant we wouldn't arrive until after 9 on our first night. Cathy said come anyway. She and her husband were there to greet us and show us to our spacious site and give us the lay of the land. The next morning we were able to take in the beauty of the property. We spent most of our time fishing the pond, catching large mouth bass, blue gill, etc. My daughter caught 18 fish in the two days we were there! Cathy and her husband would regularly make rounds to check in. It was enough that you knew they were genuinely interested in your enjoyment of their property, but not so much that it was intrusive. Bonus points for bringing their super friendly doggos around for pats. Cathy's husband even dug up some worms for my daughter to fish with! Oh, and delicious fresh eggs for us too! This is an A+ experience and the trip fulfilled all my needs! Highly recommended.

We loved camping here! The hosts were so welcoming, we felt right at home as soon as we got there. Our site was beautiful, hearing the stream at night while sitting by the fire was so peaceful! We loved visiting the dogs, ducks, and chickens in the morning and the property was only 12 minutes from Ricketts Glen. We are already planning our trip for next year. ❤️🏕️

Perfect Oasis
My husband & I wanted to hike at Ricketts Glen State Park and we just stayed for a night and it was perfect. Cathy and her husband came down to greet us and they were so nice! We got a bundle of firewood with our stay and they left us kindling as well. It was the perfect night away. We will be back!
