This little farm in the city was great for a short weekend trip to PDX. The location allows you to easily explore the area with a little driving, but stay where you can take it at a slower pace. The camping area is nice and flat too so it made setting up a breeze, even in the dark.

We enjoyed watching the airplanes coming into PDX. Location was perfect for being in the city. The farm is well kept with hunny buckets clean, lit, and centralized. Nice place!

We chose the Farm in the City as we were making our way through a 14-day tour of the Pacific NW in an RV, with a quick stop in Portland to meet friends for dinner. As others have noted, the proximity to the city makes it super convenient- we took a $15 uber downtown, about 15 minutes. The farm space itself is very cute. If you have ever been near a city, it was actually pretty quiet with little city noise. My small dislike is that you are SO close to the event area, and we were told there was no event that evening. There was a wedding, not a huge deal, but we were counting on using the bathroom and showers and it was occupied by the wedding and also felt extremely awkward to walk and drive through the event. The event ended around 11pm and of course was loud because people were celebrating. Not a huge deal for us, but fyi. There were only two other campers so we had space. Overall if you need a space to basically park your RV/camp while you explore Portland, and then crash, it’s good for one night. Find out if there is an event that night or not.

Great spot to be to get ready to assimulate back into society after a week in the woods. The best facilities we were at during the whole trip. The building did smell like fresh paint but that should go away over time. Happened to catch a HS football game while sipping drinks and watching planes come in.

Such a nice stay in Portland! We loved exploring the property, meeting the goats and turkeys, and were even gifted some grapes upon departure by one of the owners. The showers were great to have, and the water access for filling our freshwater tank was super convenient.
The only hiccup was maneuvering our 30-foot travel trailer with an F-250. Since we exceeded the listed 39-foot max vehicle length, the directions led us to an area that wasn’t easy to turn around in. We had to remove our sway bars, unhook the truck once, and re-hook to get fully turned around. That was completely on me — I should have communicated up front with the hosts to confirm our fit given the vehicle length listed. Also, keep in mind there are events and other Hipcampers nearby, so if you’re in a larger rig like us, just be mindful of space.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it if you’re looking for a peaceful, safe place in the city!

Sweet little farm convenient to downtown and the airport. Gabrielle was really great to respond to questions and was accommodating. As others mentioned the apartments being right there are a little strange at first but then you get used to it. Same with the road noise…becomes white noise after a bit. The planes didn’t bother me at all. Nice to have a shower and the location was great. We would stay here again.

I can’t recommend this place enough. Such a wonderful little location right inside Portland. It is surprisingly quiet and feels very safe. The shower house is a wonderful touch.

Gabrielle’s farm was adorable! My son especially loved the goats and turkeys. We weren’t there for barely 12 hrs and even though it was right off the road, the way you’re nestled in the back made it feel more private. Per some of the reviews, we brought ear plugs and was glad we did. Would definitely stay here again.

What a great spot. We will happily stay here again in tbe future. We decided last minute to extend our stay in Portland a few more days and was hoping to get a spot that wasn't too far from downtown (where the event we were planning to attend was taking place). It was so nice that it was only about 20 minutes away! The host provided great instructions for our stay. Where we parked and pitched our tent was clean and flat. You could hear a bit of road noise, but we just used ear plugs and fell asleep easily. We chatted with a couple of the other campers and everyone was very friendly respectful and quiet.

Camping at Rossi farms was truly a unique experience. Usually on hipcamp the spots are located off the beaten path it seems but Gabrielle’s land was incredibly convenient for a friend and I’s quick PDX excursion. Was a little sketched out at first considering the camp site is walking distance from a 7/11 but we felt safe and secure on the farm. There’s nice ambient lighting around at night and despite it being located in the city it felt just secluded enough. Camping among the grape vines was a huge vibe! The amenities are nice to have however if you’re tall like me (6’2”) you better watch your noggin in the “common area” because I hit mine a few times in there due to the low ceiling especially in the shower. This little common space was lacking a few essentials in the bathroom when we were present but all in all I think this place a good value and I would stay here again!

Amazing location within the Portland city limits! A true farm and this time of year loaded with delicious grapes in the vineyard. No hook up no Wi-Fi just parking on grass in a beautiful vineyard. Family members were very helpful and pleasant to talk to. Highly recommended if you can dry camp for a few days

Gabrielle was very responsive when I messaged her about trying to find parking in the shade. The basement area was a nice retreat area when it was 98 degrees outside. I appreciated access to a bathroom with sink and shower.

This place was a great place to stop off and sleep. It’s a vineyard parking lot essentially but you can sleep next to, or in, your vehicle. It’s clean, safe, and has working amenities. The property was amazing!

We are on road-trip to Portland from Minnesota and this was a great place to stop and rest before trekking back! It is right in the city, so if you’re sensitive to noise, get some earplugs! Shower was a great plus! I loved listening to the turkeys and goats in the morning :3. Alsoo if you’re needing food recs nearby El Yucateco is sooo good and it’s 2 mins away!

Hopefully this was a one off as most reviews were good and that is why I decided to book a night here for my very first Hipcamp experience. Arrived at 2pm on a Sunday night. Left next morning at 8am. Unfortunately the designated common area in the basement of the little green house had a big puddle of water in the middle of the room, and no idea where it came from, garbage can overflowing and no toilet paper. Even looked in the cupboards for more. Text the host and she was very responsive with texts and said would let someone know. Luckily I had my own tp. Went back over again about 4 hours later and nothing had yet been resolved. It was an extremely hot day and there is really no shade in the field where campers park. It hit 100 degrees and using the portapotties was not super appealing. I’m sure in cooler weather it is just fine. The basement common area was cool at least. For an inexpensive option in east Portland for a quick night it works. The goats and turkeys were fun to interact with.

Great spot right in the city! Very peaceful and neat farm setting complete with goats and chickens. The Porta potty was extremely clean and even smelled great. Highly recommend.

Staying at Gabrielle’s place is a unique experience. Where else can you be surrounded by goats, turkeys, berry plants, and trees and still be minutes away from modern amenities? I had a great 2 nights here. Sure, there’s some street noise and the Portland airport is nearby but that was easily solved with earplugs. I especially appreciated the use of the hot shower and washer/dryer! Thanks Gabrielle!

Amazing place to stay in the city. I had an early flight out after a prolonged camping adventure in the PNW and staying here was efficient for that purpose But there were cool goats and berries and barn party lights so it felt like an extension of our magical adventure. The sunset was spectacular too!

This was an interesting place to stay, because it is kind of in town, and there are condos and businesses bordering the small farm. But it worked well for us. #1, it's actually in Portland, and so it was very convenient for visiting Portland without having to drive further out into the country to camp. #2, very helpful for us, it not only had a bathroom, but it had a shower available for our use. #3, the host was great. We did find a relatively private corner in the vineyard for our campervan, but the funny thing about staying here was that there were buildings around us nearby, so it felt a little bit exposed. This is literally a small farm in the middle of an urban area. We used earplugs for sleeping at night, so the nearby road noise and airport noise did not bother us at all, but just a heads up to any sensitive person who might not like those sounds.

This was a fine place to stay for one night, but really wasn’t anything special. Just a place to park our camper van and sleep. The shower and bathroom area was problematic for us, as we are tall people (not even wildly tall though - 5’8” and 6’3”). The ceiling is so low that my husband hit his head several times and couldn’t even stand up fully in the shower. The shower faucet was also so low that we both had to squat while doing a backbend to actually get it to hit our heads. Not pleasant. Plus the water couldn’t go below a certain temperature. A cool shower was not possible (which I know is usually not the problem, but it was HOT).
If you’re looking for a place to stay for a night with a shower and bathroom, this place will work. But it was our least favorite camp site on our week long camping trip.
