Place was great. Area was wide open and secluded. Just be careful with the main road that leads to Breier Road, traffic is not very civil (that is not the host's fault.

A perfect overnight dry camping spo

We camped on the hill in a 20' trailer was easy to get levled out. The view from our spot was awesome.. thousands of crickets at night..and the night sky was breathtaking..trailer camping on the hill is recommended a few areas for tent camping. On the hill area it is very open with a few spruce trees.very nice for the price..

We only stayed for 1 night but paid for 2 as it was supposed to rain on the 2nd night so we left early...it was very quiet with alot of crickets @ night...I do not recommend a trailer over 20'.make sure you have leveling blocks as the ground is not level but you can camp anywhere on the hill..beautiful view anywhere you camp...

David was very helpful when I arrived, there was plenty of beautiful open space to choose from. Right off the highway, but without highway noise. I had the pleasure of meeting a cow that passed right by my tent:) There is a small bar/restaurant a few miles up the road that was quaint and hospitable for dinner. I would definitely stay there again passing through on a road trip!

Way too vague instructions about where to go once youre actually there. Then at 3 am, a creepy trailer blasted fluorescent lights and a loud generator with people walking around my tent rummaging around until 5 am. Really freaked me out, and to make it worse the host didnt respond all night.

There are a couple of options for a stay on this property if you are in an rv or camper. Shade is available. Plenty of rolling grazing land for the cattle and wild turkeys that inhabit this place. Enjoyed the turkeys. Never had the pleasure of meeting the hosts but the spot worked for us as a short stay and it’s a fair price.

No toilet is available at this place. We ended up not staying because there was no toilet-- nothing; not a pit toilet or a portapotty, or anything. The person who "greeted" us basically pointed to a clearing and said, that's the camping area. It was just a clearing by the side of the road. A sweet free-roaming dog was friendlier than the human. She followed us as we walked around a bit to see if there was an outhouse somewhere. There was only a sketch-looking encampment with several big dirty dogs tied on chains who barked aggressively at us. We left and got back on the road. Cannot recommend.

The area was beautiful and easy to access, we very much enjoyed our stay - we could not however, find the portable toilet but we didn’t search very hard, we didn’t want to intrude on other campers space. - we rented out a spot to visit my family for a reunion and unfortunately while we were out, my brand new 19 dollar citronella mosquito candle got ran over by the owners tractor or lawn mower or something, it looks like some grass was cut and my candle was completely squished/ruined :( unfortunate but we still had a great stay

We were car camping and needed a place off the road to crash for the night so the lack of flat and level ground wasn’t an issue but if you plan on sleeping in a tent, you may wanna reconsider. There’s cattle roaming the fields which was a treat for us but if you have a reactive dog it may not be suitable. Overall it was worth it for the price and ease of access but if I were to do anything other than sleep in the car I would stay elsewhere.

The property was easy to find. I liked that there was a gate, it makes the campsite area feel more secure. There were tons of wild turkeys and the cows were very docile.

This is a really awesome place to stay! Dispersed camping, lots of beautiful property and a good price. Much better pricing than the big one in Cottage Grove, closer than Umpqua. I read another review saying the drive up from the min driveway was difficult but it's fine. My low bellied car didn't bottom out, the field pictured is level enough to safely drive through, and theres level spots to park a campervan. The cows and turkeys that visit are cute too! David and Dawn are freindly and make you feel welcome. And it feels alot more private than crowded campgrounds, if you're looking for quiet time while camping.

beautiful landscape with great views and lots of different areas to choose from. felt very private, most of the area is on a hill so it took a few tries to get my camper at a good angle for sleeping. pit toilet needed maintenance and there was a bit of litter around the property but overall really enjoyed my stay and the price is great.

I had looked at hipcamp website earlier in the day and discovered this site. I hadn’t made a reservation because I didn’t think I would make it all the way to Drain. However, I did and confirmed the reservation at 8:30 pm. The land was easy to find. I never met David and Dawn but I did meet a couple of cows near the camping sign pointing left. I drive a Prius and sleep on a mattress in the back. It was getting close to dark so I picked the first somewhat level spot. I thought I was the only person on the property until I saw another vehicle at a distance in the morning. Finding the porta potty was a challenge. It’s in the grove of trees. This is the perfect spot for spending one night on the way to someplace else.

Nice place on a mountain top with beautiful views. Remote feeling. Rolled in late at night and the gate was opened by a nice young woman who was also going up the access road. I followed her verbal directions and made it to the top of the mountain and basically guessed on where I could park. The only amenities were a port-a-potty and a gorgeous view.

This was a nice spot to camp for the night, but it should be noted that there really isn't any flay spot to actually camp here. It's all a meadow on a hill, basically. There are cows spread throughout too. The portapotty is not really usable, and the instructions were not very clear on finding the place. It's like they were written from the perspective of someone working backwards from the location rather than as someone who has never been there before. I needed to use blocks in order to sleep in my van somewhat flat, I think if you don't know that ahead of time you may have a rough night's sleep. I would totally stay here again though, for the price it is really good.

The wife and I got into town late at night and we're having trouble finding a place to camp out for the night. We didn't arrive to the property at almost 10pm and was greated with a smile. We will definitely stay again.
