Welcome to Molalla Ripple! Enjoy the sound of the Molalla River rolling over the rocks. Wake up to birds chirping and tall trees swaying in the breeze. The campsites are sixty feet apart for privacy, and one path along the River Shack that leads to the river with two private beach areas to relax. NOTE, Please use the clean bathrooms provided. DO NOT USE THE WOODS or camp site as your bathroom. Thank you, let's keep things clean and safe for others to enjoy! We are forced to require our guests to pay a cleaning fee that's refundable after your stay. Please add the extra to your booking. We have tried to work with our guests to offer trash service, yet campers leave more than we can handle or clean before our next guest arrives. This is our home and property that we want to share, so let us work together to keep it clean and safe. Thank you from the Toops Family Jsm Ranch started in 2004 when we moved from Oregon City. This once was a working farm with two chicken barns and a meat locker barn. All had been fallen into disrepair before taking owner ship. In 2007 we planted 200 trees and 100 shrubs to build a new fish and wildlife habitat along Woodcock Creek. We then focused on building fence along the Molalla River to protect water quality. From there, we started raising Black Angus in 2008 after spending four years cleaning up the fields to make it safe for animals. We strive to be good stewards with our land as we continue to work with Clackamas Soil and Water to make better working lands. You're only minutes away from the town of Molalla to grab a bite, groceries or other camp items. Also have Molalla Rodeo just 3 minutes away on Splat Action Paintball is just five minutes away. Open all year. -March 21 – April 27, 2025 Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival Camp with us while you visit. Just twenty minutes away or thirteen miles. -July 1-4th. The Molalla train park! You won't be disappointed for a great breakfast at Tammy D's (Mulino, OR), sandwiches at Humble Pig or pizza at Bear Creek Pizza & Pub.

Welcome to our small group Site. Craving family time and need a break? We have room to spread out and enjoy one another while camping along the Molalla River in Sites two and three. This group site is 100' away from other camp sites. But just feet from the River shack. A reservation at our group space, River Rock, allows for 15 people. Additional guests, up to a maximum of twenty, are welcomed for an added fee of $8 to cover insurance expenses for everyone's safety.  Our group area has room for ten tents and a couple of van campers or teardrop trailers. We provide picnic tables in the group area and one along the river's edge. Have a campfire in camp or the one along the river with our two fire rings. Need to do some work while camping We have you covered with our free Wi-Fi on the river. Wake up to birds chirping and trees swaying in the breeze. Stroll along two scenic paths to enjoy the sounds of the river and see hawks or perhaps a bald eagle soaring in the sky.  Check out the working farm with grass-fed cows, chickens, ducks, goats and sheep. We also have treats for the animals so little ones can enjoy our animals.  Enjoy a crackling campfire with the stars above and make lasting memories!  Need a smaller campsite, look up Molalla Ripple. Hip Camp will send out an email with all our info once you book your stay. . Our rates change with the seasons. We look forward to having you stay with us. Welcome to the River Shack, have a family or work gathering coming up we can help. When you book the River Shack, you are booking the entire campground. All sites 1-8 along the Molalla River with 2500' of river frontage to explore. While on 25 acres. With the River flowing along the west side of your campsite and the working farm on your Eastside. Perfect spot to watch Sunrises and Amazing Sunsets. Each tent campsite has room for two cars with an overflow just feet away. This booking is for the entire campground. You are booking all eight tent sites and one three-acre pasture. If a guest has an RV they are welcome to park in Pasture for easy in and out access. The tent site will not accommodate big RV's The pasture comes with its own fire ring and picnic tables. Fully fenced if pups need to run. NOTE, Please use the clean bathrooms provided. DO NOT USE THE WOODS or campsite as your bathroom room. Thank you, let's keep things clean and safe for others to enjoy! FAQ Are day campers included in the total guest count, or does it only apply to overnight guests? All campers, whether they are staying overnight or not, must be included in the reservation. Can additional guests be added after the initial booking? Yes, you can modify your trip to add more guests through the Hipcamp app, but you cannot exceed the maximum capacity.

First off we felt very welcomed. We loved the livestock, the river, the amenities and all the special details they put into this place. The lights around the campsites, the clean bathrooms and showers, the firepits, the water, the shared common space. All the wildlife was incredible also. We saw a coyote, deer, bald eagles, chipmunks and a common Merganser. Such a great place! We will be back.

Right on the river! I appreciated the torches and little signs that lit the way to our campsite, which was really helpful because we arrived late. We heard a variety of wild animals off in the distance at night. There were also cows on the other side of a fence right behind our campsite, which I wasn't expecting, so hopefully you're into that sort of thing! The sites were well-maintained. Port-a-potties were very clean with sinks/soap/paper towels next to them. There was a big tank of potable water with jugs that we could fill and take to our campsite for washing. The only con we can think of is that a little traffic noise could be heard. It was there, but we didn't find it intense enough to be disturbing. Would definitely visit again when we go back to the Dahlia Festival!

We had a wonderful time here! Definitely will go back for many more trips. We originally were staying 3 nights and on our checkout morning, we booked one more night! Awesome host, awesome place & felt safe. Here’s to many more times at this hidden gem of a camp spot!

Molalla Ripple River Rock 20+
It was a nice spot, and the kids had lots of fun playing in the river. Based on the pictures, I thought it would be bigger and also there was an RV camper really close to our campsite who spent about entire day fixing their RV with some noisy device. I think other spots are a like more spacious and also father from the road. Ours was the first from the entrance (sites 2-3) and all things considered, I think it is a bit overpriced. But the site was clean, everything besides the hot tub was well maintained, and we had a lot of fun.

Camping at Molalla Ripple was great all around. View of the river from the campsite and just a short walk and you are in the water. Toilets were clean and site was level. Parked a class B in site 3 and it was perfect. James was great, talking and checking in with us daily. Would definitely go again.

Our stay here was magical! We were at Site 4, and it was spacious, we had a lovely view of the river, and at night there are gorgeous string lights so we were able to set up camp easily even though it was dark. The facilities were clean (bathrooms, shower, hand washing station). The farm animals were awesome, and we got to see deer cross the water, and some other wildlife. It was so nice to have potable water, a shower, Wifi, and other amenities. James was a great host and so quick to answer questions on the app. Overall, an amazing stay and will absolutely be back. Thanks for sharing your land with us, James!

Overall it was a good trip for a lower price but McWilliams say the photos make it feel much more private than it is, the site can really only fit 1 tent and the fire pit is place rather close to the edge. Overall was a fine night!

Molalla ripple is a wonderful, tucked away spot. We had a great time exploring the river and relaxing. All of the available amenities were lovely. I definitely want to try the hot tub next time. James was also quick to respond to my messages and came down to greet us!

Beautiful spot right on the river. It was pretty quiet and the other campers at other sites were all very friendly and respectful. It was nice having wood waiting for us upon arrival and site 7 fit two tents and two cars easily. We’d definitely stay here again can’t wait to return.

Overall it was a pleasant experience, not sure why I paid $20 more a night than the site next to us who had lights and electrical hook-up though as we did not. Beautiful area but the invasion of flies were horrid. Besides the flies and paying more for less it was an experience none the less.

I spent 3 days on this trip- two nights at Site 4 and one night at Site 6. Site 4 is near the pole house, and I always park parallel to the river for the best view. Site 6 is extremely private, with trees on either side of the site, so you're all tucked in. Both sites are great!

I've stayed at MR multiple times, and it's always perfect. James thinks of everything! The property is lovely. There are plenty of(very clean) porta-johns, a terrific shower, and the wi-fi is very reliable. I've worked remotely there on more than one occasion. My favorite Hipcamp!!

I can't say enough good things about this camping spot! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how peaceful and well-maintained everything was. The campsites were spacious, clean, and thoughtfully spaced out for privacy, with plenty of flat ground to pitch a tent. Amenities were top-notch for a campground: clean restrooms, hot showers, potable water, and even firewood available on-site. The camp host was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly cared about keeping the place in great shape. Whether you're a seasoned camper or trying it out for the first time, this spot strikes the perfect balance between rustic and comfortable. We’ll definitely be back—and next time, we’re staying longer!

This is still my favorite place! I didn't spend the night this time due to an emergency back home, but even just sitting in the site overlooking the river for a few hours was worth the trip!
