Juniper Jungle is a 10 acre farm with irrigated pastures and native juniper forest. The property has a seasonal canal and pond, free ranging chickens, and friendly goats. Hear the rooster crow in the morning and coyotes yip at night. Cross the bridge over the canal and explore a juniper and ponderosa woodland. Juniper Jungle will make a great base camp for Central Oregon adventure with downtown Bend 15 minutes to the west and the Oregon badlands 15 minutes to the east.This is a large campsite for tents or a small, self-contained camper van. The site is behind a large barn building, giving the campers privacy from the main residence. The spot is next to a scenic irrigation pond and fenced pasture. Guest are welcome to walk the dirt road along the irrigation canal. The site has no amenities, campers will need to be self contained, taking all waste with them and leaving no trace. There is a porta-potty a short walk from the campsite.

Juniper Jungle Campsite
I recently had the pleasure of staying at this Hipcamp, and it was an unforgettable experience. The area is absolutely beautiful, highlighted by breathtaking sunsets that painted the sky with vibrant hues in the evening. One of the most charming aspects of our stay was the warm welcome from some friendly locals—a dog, a cat, and even a chicken came to greet us upon arrival. It added a delightful, homely touch to the serene setting. The majestic Juniper tree on the property was another standout feature. Its natural beauty added to the tranquil atmosphere, making it a perfect spot to relax and soak in the surroundings. The campground is close enough to pop into the bend downtown, if that’s what you’re seeking. I would highly recommend this Hipcamp to anyone looking to enjoy nature, friendly animal encounters, and stunning sunsets. It’s an idyllic escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

A convenient, chill place, a quick and easy drive from Bend. Gwen was super friendly and responsive. Definitely check out the farm stand down the road!

Juniper Jungle Campsite
I loved tent camping on Gwen’s pastureland. It was quiet, peaceful and so lovely to have a place to prepare my meals, and space for my morning/evening my routines, and such a treat to take in some stargazing before sleep. A couple chickens and a black cat came to visit - love the animal energy. I’m glad I checked out the farm stand down the road as well.

This was such a beautiful little place to stay! I really enjoyed my experience with Gwen as she was very friendly and a great communicator! She even set out lights to help us find the campsite because we arrived after dark! The little pond was cute to sit by! We really enjoyed our stay! Do recommend for car/van camping!

My family enjoyed camping at Juniper Jungle! Gwen was there to welcome us when we arrived and was a gracious host. Her chickens and charismatic pooch were welcome visitors at our site, too! Lots of secluded room to relax here 🙂
