The Wellsprings is a unique retreat spanning over 30 acres of sacred land, renowned for its natural mineral water hot springs. Located just 2.5 miles from downtown Ashland, Oregon, this tranquil oasis offers a variety of facilities, including a spa, campground, gardens, temple, and events center, making it an ideal destination for relaxation and rejuvenation. At the heart of The Wellsprings is its spa, which provides a serene environment for guests to unwind and connect. As home to the Health Research Institute, a non-profit organization dedicated to educational, botanical, and environmental restoration projects, The Wellsprings is committed to fostering optimal health for both individuals and the environment. Historically significant, this site has been revered by First Nation tribes as a ceremonial and birthing location. The warm artesian waters along Bear Creek were dedicated by Eugenia Jackson in 1862 for “natatorium and sanitarium purposes.” In the early 1900s, Jackson Hot Springs gained fame for its healing mineral waters, attracting thousands to Ashland to experience its restorative benefits. Today, over a century later, these warm springs continue to provide relaxation and healing to residents of the Rogue Valley, Shakespeare enthusiasts, and travelers along the I-5 corridor.
