Single private camping site on our off grid property along side a small river. You can swim, fish, canoe, kayak, or just enjoy the peaceful flow of the water going by. We have an abundance of wildlife in our area and we often have Bald Eagles flying over the river. Pets allowed, must be contained or on a leash, and please clean up after them. This camping site is located off a paved BLM Road that will have occasional traffic, but the site is not very visible from the this road. There is also a train that goes by during the night. Camp fires are permitted as long as there are no fire restrictions from our local authorities. We grow an organic garden and are more than happy to share when we have excess. No smoking or vaping (except in your own rig), no alcohol use, and no drug use allowed on this property. Wifi is available up by our house if needed for emergencies only. Dry Camping, no hookups.This is the only site on our property. You will have a large area for a tent. Camp vans, overhead campers, and smaller RV's might fit down by the water, but if not there is room above the tent site closer to the road for larger RV's. There is a beautiful large creek to sit beside, fish for trout, swim, canoe (available for guest use), or kayak (bring your own). Guests take full responsibility for using the creek. Full supervision of children is required, and this is not toddler friendly around the water. We see a large variety of wildlife and birds on our property, including bald eagles. Enjoy picking ripe blackberries in season and watching Salmon spawn in the creek in the fall. You will have the use of a large gas BBQ grill, canoe, chairs, picnic tables, and fire pit (campfires are not allowed during fire season). Clean Porta Potty is now available. There is a railroad on the other side of the creek that has a train travel by late at night and early morning. It can be a lovely noisy rumble with an occassionaly squeel from the wheels as it passes by. This site is beside a BLM paved road that has occassional traffic, not a lot, but will have some each day. The creek site is mostly not visible to the road. We are located about 20 minutes from a major freeway, about 45 minute drive from a larger town with hospital and larger grocery stores. There are numerous smaller towns about 20 to 30 minutes away. The following is a summary of some activities to enjoy on your camping trip to our property: Mid April to Early June ~ Abundance of Wildflowers in the area, Fishing, Relaxing by the campfire. Mid June to Mid August ~ The river is a good level and water temperature is warming for Swimming, Rafting, Canoeing, Kayaking, and Fishing. Mid August to Early October ~ The river is dropping in level so that canoeing is only good in the large area right at the campsite. You can canoe farther but will have to drag it through shallow rapids to deeper pools. Fishing and a good time for Gold Panning since you can access deeper river pockets easier. October ~ Watch the Salmon spawn. Enjoy the beautiful fall colors. Depending on the rainfall amounts canoeing and kayaking will improve as the water level comes up. Mid Nov to Mid April ~ Closed.

This spot was even better than we hoped! Right by the water, lots of amenities, a welcome basket of home-grown fruit & vegetables and many more amenities. The hosts were present when needed, gave a great tour and offered us their personal Wifi in emergencies, but at the same time very much respected pour privacy. If you're looking for fishing or just dipnetting some critters, Cow Creek is awesome. While the trout population was decimated by the smallmouth bass, that does mean there is great smallmouth fishing. If you're just coming to relax by a river, there are rocking chairs, sun chaises, picknick tables, popup tent sunroof, canoes and the nicest porta potty you'll ever see. We really enjoyed the many trees offering shade, the little critters in the creek and the juicy tomatoes and peaches from Emily. Will definitely come back!

A piece of paradise on the creek.

Emily went above and beyond what we expected, right down to leaving us a basket of fresh organic peaches. We took a spectacular trip in the canoes and we were the only ones on the creek. It is a piece of paradise and we’ll be back.

Hidden gem of Cow creek byway!

I was lucky to be the first person to stay at this campsite. Emily and Rob were very welcoming at check-in and provided great reccomendations for restauarants in town. The amenties at the site were very nice, such as a propane grill(with a stovetop burner), picnic tables, plenty of shade, great swim spot, and canoes to use on the creek. They also added new amenities such as a porta-potty and hand washing station. The creek during the summer time of year was chest level in some spots and was great temperature to dip in and out of. Although I was doing a solo camp, the site was spacious enough to easily accomodate for larger groups. If you find yourself wanting to explore the area, I reccomend staying here for your base of operations!
