A private and peaceful spot
Dale is a fantastic host: communication was very good, we found the campsite easily with his directions. It was a lovely spot among the trees, very private and peaceful, with a nice picnic table. Dale gave us excellent recommendations for places to visit in the area. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and would choose Indian Moon again if camping in the area. Thank you!

Fun Stop Driving North!
We did not arrive until after dark and Dale was kind enough to leave some signs out for us! We had much more space and privacy than we thought! Not many bugs which was nice too

Came to stay for a short weekend trip on my way to hike the PCT thru Oregon. Nicely kept sites including toilets and water, and a picnic table at each site! Dale was a great host with lots of information. Definitely recommend this spot.

Wizard Dale for the Win!
Dale's place was perfect! Strategically located between Ashland and Klamath Falls; close enough to conveniences (with a drive) but far enough away that we felt like we actually in nature and could see the stars. Dale sent a message with perfect instructions (because arriving late at night, in the dark, in the country can be confusing), and met us upon arrival. There was an outhouse and fresh water a very short walk away from our site, which included a firepit (no fires right now in Oregon), a picnic table, a clearing for our tents, and parking for the vehicle. He greeted us, told us about the space, a bit about himself (would love to know more about his amazing stories!!) and unfortunately, that was the last of Dale we saw. Because we were so close to everything, we spent time in Ashland, Klamath Falls, Crater Lake, and up near Clear Lake went on a few waterfall and hot spring hikes...making it back to Dale's usually pretty late at night, just in time to crash and get up again the next day. Next time we are in Oregon, we will be sure to come back!
**Side story...Dale signed off on his instruction message with a wizard emoji. The thing is, it looks EXACTLY like Dale...who is more mountain man than wizard. But.... we gave Dale the name of Wizard Dale or Dale the Wizard for the weekend. When we went to Crater Lake, it was fun to wonder if Wizard Dale had discovered Wizard Island and was the first to explore it. Just....fun. :)
Thank you so much Wizard Dale!!!!

Dale is super hospitable and knowledgeable about local lore. Very comfortable, private spot surrounded by nothing but nature.
