The Porchia Holistic Eco-Farm and Wildlife Sanctuary is a 46-acre working farm with five distinct ecosystems including flat pastureland for regenerative ranching of rotating livestock and farm animals, ancient heritage oak savanna and old apple orchard, riparian-woodland for wildlife habitat and expansive wetland prairie with beavers. Holistic Health & Wellness. Since 2001, Dianne Porchia, featured in HEAL Documentary (Amazon Prime Video, Gaia), has a private practice in holistic health, wellness and stress reduction. She is featured in HEAL Documentary alongside notable names in science, medicine and spirituality for her successful work with one of her advance stage cancer clients who remains cancer free following a stage IV colorectal cancer diagnosis in 2013. Mission Statement: Alarmed by the great many young people that seek out her services who are diagnosed with auto-immune disorders or advance stage cancers, as well as concern around a sick food system that has been fueling a sick care system in the USA, and advancements in laboratory-grown foods, robotics and AI technology, Porchia was inspired to found the Porchia Holistic Eco-Farm & Wildlife Sanctuary, LLC, as a legacy on their family farm for a place for the practice, study and education of regenerative farming, ecosystem conservation and health and wellness through Nature, working with the land and living in right relationship to Mother Earth. Regenerative agriculture is a food production system that is free from pesticides, chemical fertilizers, antibiotics, growth hormones and other land-livestock additives and uses multi-animal species and crop-diversity to naturally build a healthy soil microbiome, resulting in nutrient dense crops and animal food production. Holistic health and wellness literally from the ground up. Stay at the Porchia Holistic Eco-Farm and Wildlife Sanctuary, connect with Nature, get educated on healthier food choices and inspire your own inner transformation. Support the Porchia Holistic Eco-Farm and Wildlife Sanctuary Mission Statement through booking your farm-stay, farm tour, personal or group retreat, farm stand products and on-line purchases. Farm Angel opportunities: Inquire about seasonal work-stay opportunities whereby you can support the Eco-Farm Mission Statement and contribute your talents to this legacy vision for future generations to enjoy. Real Food. Real People. Real Experiences. Come stay on a 46-acre working regenerative farm and wildlife sanctuary in Oregon’s scenic Mohawk Valley—a living classroom where regenerative food production, ecosystem conservation and wildlife habitat work in harmony. The Porchia Holistic Eco-Farm & Wildlife Sanctuary is family-owned and stewarded land in rural Springfield, Oregon. The property includes open pastureland for farming and rotational grazing, magnificent heritage oak savanna, an old apple orchard, woodland and riparian habitat, year-round and seasonal creeks, and secluded wetland prairie with an active beaver complex—all supporting an abundance of wildlife. Our mission is to steward this land through regenerative, pesticide-free farming and ranching practices while protecting wildlife habitat and creating opportunities for people to reconnect with Nature and experience holistic and regenerative wellness—literally from the soil up. What You'll Experience Wake to a chorus of birds and farm life, watch the changing light filter through heritage oaks and across open pastures toward forested hills, then stargaze under dark country skies before falling asleep to croaking frogs and chirping crickets. Depending on the season and farm activities, you may see grazing livestock, chickens rotating through pastures, beehives and pollinators in the orchard, wild turkeys and their poults, deer and their fawns, bald eagles and hawks overhead, and occasional raccoons, skunks, foxes and coyotes. Bird watching, Nature and wildlife observation, photography, journaling, plein-air painting, drawing, stargazing, quiet reflection and simply slowing down are some of the pleasures of being here. The Eco-Farm is also home to a remarkable creek, wetland and beaver habitat. Guests are asked to enjoy wildlife respectfully and observe sensitive habitat areas from appropriate distances. A Farm Stay With a Purpose This is more than a place to camp. The Porchia Eco-Farm was created as a living classroom for regenerative agriculture, conservation and human wellness through connection with Nature. We believe healthy soil supports nutrient-dense plants and healthy animals, which in turn support healthy people. Our larger vision is to demonstrate how agriculture, conservation, wildlife and human well-being can coexist in right relationship with the land. Your stay and optional Eco-Farm experiences and purchases such as seasonal farm products, meal-prep baskets, guided farm tours, bicycle rentals and Farm Shop items—helps support the continued stewardship and restoration of this special 46-acre property. Ask about seasonal Farm Angel opportunities for those interested in contributing their time and talents to the Eco-Farm Mission Statement and legacy. Explore the Mohawk Valley & Beyond The Eco-Farm is located in the scenic Mohawk Valley of Lane County, offering easy access to the rivers, lakes, forests, trails, vineyards, covered bridges and mountain landscapes of Oregon's southern Willamette Valley and Cascade foothills. Close to the farm, guests can: • Walk or cycle the picturesque country neighborhood; ask about our five rental bicycles. • Enjoy the nearby Mohawk River across the street and surrounding countryside. • Play Pine Ridge Golf Course, approximately 1.5 miles away. • Visit Clearwater Park and the Willamette River, approximately 6 miles away, for river access, biking and hiking trails. • Explore Eugene-area hiking and biking, including Spencer Butte, Skinner Butte, the Ridgeline Trail System and Willamette River paths. • Visit Mount Pisgah Arboretum for hiking, Nature exploration and river access. • Explore Dexter Lake, Fern Ridge Lake and historic covered bridges. • Spend an afternoon wine tasting or enjoying seasonal events at nearby Willamette Valley vineyards. • Take a scenic day trip toward the Cascades for Belknap Hot Springs, Proxy Falls, waterfalls, mountain trails and other natural attractions. Convenient Rural Location Enjoy the feeling of country life without being far from town. The Mohawk General Store is about ¼ mile away for basic groceries and conveniences. Downtown Springfield is approximately 6 miles away for restaurants, shopping and services, while Eugene is approximately 12 miles away with restaurants, entertainment, famous Saturday farmers market, the University of Oregon stadiums and Eugene Airport. What to Expect This is a working farm and wildlife sanctuary—not a manicured campground. You may hear birds, frogs, coyotes, farm animals, tractors and other normal agricultural activity. Wildlife, insects, mud, uneven ground and changing weather are all part of the experience. Some woodland, riparian, creek and wetland areas are sensitive wildlife habitat. Please respect posted boundaries and enjoy these areas only where guest access is permitted. We ask our guests to tread lightly, respect farm operations, leave wildlife undisturbed and help us protect this land for future generations. Other things to note: Bring flashlight. Camping sites are a lovely stroll through leafy trail to wash station and porta potty. 10% discount weeknights (Tuesday – Thursday), 15% long-term discount (10-29 days). Come prepared to slow down, breathe deeply, look up at the stars and rediscover the simple pleasure of reconnecting with the natural world. Real Food. Real People. Real Experiences.
