Located just 8 miles south of Madras, Oregon, and a mere 2 miles off Highway 97, this campground is nestled adjacent to the picturesque Crooked River National Grasslands. The reservoir is renowned for its excellent boating and fishing experiences, attracting visitors year-round. The West Shore features 16 regular tent and small RV sites, complete with a convenient boat ramp, boarding floats, and ample boat trailer parking. For larger gatherings, the South Shore offers three spacious group sites that can accommodate up to 50 people, with room for 25 RVs or tents. Meanwhile, the North Shore day-use area boasts a charming fishing pier that extends over the reservoir, providing breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere. Camp hosts on-site offer essential supplies such as firewood, ice, and worms for fishing. To ensure a spot at this popular destination, reservations can be made up to thirteen months in advance, and it is highly recommended to secure your booking early, as the campground fills up quickly.
