The property was very beautiful. Lots of pretty walks to the trees. The pond was at a low point. The pictures on depicted on the site are old. Our site had two very large piles of horse poop that we constantly had to work around. The tent had water in it we had to clean up before setting up. The picnic table was in serious disrepair. We did not sit on it as it swayed heavily side to side. It appeared to have duct table in areas it moved and sticks placed under one side to maybe stabilize it. Camp sites are also fairly close together. So if you’re looking for seclusion this is not your place.

Overall everything was just okay. There were several men who appeared to be doing some long term camping/living there that used the gazebo by the pond the entire time so we weren't able to use it at all. They were constantly walking past our camp, sitting in the empty site next to us, facing our direction, walking thru our site... it was unnerving. There were horses that came into camp throughout the day, we loved seeing them and petting them, but it also resulted in horse poop all over the place. The games provided were okay, but no flat, smooth area to play them. The pond was almost empty (it is that time of year, but kind of a bummer). The outhouse was clean. The site, even though was the smallest, had plenty of room for myself, my daughter, and my 2 yr old grandson.

Had a great time tent camping at Gordon’s Pond. The site was spacious and quiet and Patricia was an all-star host. We especially loved the horses that would stroll through the campsite in the morning. Overall a very unique and relaxing experience!

Great little campground! The host was very kind and made sure we got to our spot, and she even upgraded us to a better, more private spot once we arrived. Beautiful and peaceful setting overall! I would definitely recommend.

We stayed with friends at two sites, one of which included a Bell tent set up prior to our arrival. The tent was clean and roomy enough to stand in, which was convenient. The fire pit at Site #1 next door was larger than average and made for a nice evening hangout under the stars.
The campground is dog-friendly, and most sites had pets during our stay, which added a casual, family feel—though it may not be ideal for those seeking total quiet.
The gazebo was a helpful shared space with an extra picnic table. There’s one clean porta potty and a nearby water spigot, which met our basic needs.
Overall, it’s a low-key, easy-to-access spot for a short trip. The host was friendly and responsive.

We had a great time at Gordon’s Pond, it’s a nice little hide away from the big city not too far but just far enough to experience all sorts of wildlife and get a great view of the stars. We had a peaceful time the campsite was very clean they had a port a potty that was very well maintained and access to make a fire pit!
it was very pet friendly my two dogs had a great time including seeing horses for the first time. The camp hosts are very friendly and accommodating and get back to you quickly. We will absolutely be back!

Patricia and friends are just absolutely lovely people. My youngest son (7) and I decided to go camping on a whim last minute Thursday after work since daycare was closed Friday. We were beating the clock trying to find a place before dark. All the first come spots we knew about were gone by the time we got there.we drove for hours. We tried to go up the mountain but the fire devastation was just so sad we came back down logged into hipcamp. I messaged her after 7p. And she said my son and I could come right over I hurried and booked the first site I saw. tent6. The pond was low so we didn't use her boats. But was fun to watch the birds hunt and eat fish. Hear the frogs and crickets. We got to pick berries around the camp and was pretty close to milo mclver state park.,we spent Saturday floating on the river there. We will definitely be back but will book the bigger site next to 6. Our site was great but my adhder moves alot so next time I'll pick a spot with more free space and level ground around the fire pit.its perfect for a grown up or 2 but not a wild child that likes to move ! My son is a huge dog lover it was soo hard not to stop and pet all the dogs she's raising on the way In but we just drove really slow and oogled with our eyes.porta potty was clean. Someone has been unkind to the provided games and toys. That was a bummer to see but we did play some horseshoes, and threw some plastic axes.😍over all just a great mellow safe vibe.

Wonderful communication from the host! The tent site was perfect for my bf, myself, and my dogs:) plenty of space for parking too- and an overflow lot option if needed. I love how close to town it was- yet felt secluded…we both had work the following day but had to flea bomb at home so wanted to evacuate for just the one night. Lots of dog barking at night though- and our picnic table was on its last leg. However- it was still perfect! Would recommend:)

So much space to utilize. We ended up being upgraded to tent 8 I believe and the view of the horses, in the distance, in the morning was beautiful! Cute lil hidden campsite. Will def be back🥰

Take a walk through the lush trees , listen to the bull frogs croaking, look at the lots of stars at night, watch the majestic horses at play, check out the old cabin, watch the humming birds fluttering by, catch a glimpse of the baby bunnies or just sit , relax and take in the serenity of it all.
In the evening be sure to visit with Patricia at the gazebo, she is an amazing beautiful soul

I was disappointed by this site. I only stayed 1 of 4 nights booked. I have 3 issues
1st was the couple next to me who had booked for the summer - the site was listed as dog friendly. I expect some interactions between my dog & other dogs. However their untrained puppy barked incessantly as I was setting up, & thru the early evening. No one signs up for an untrained dog who distress barks & it was stressing my Frenchie so much he couldn't rest during the hottest part of the day.
2. The portapotty was disgusting, waste was piled nearly to the top & I was told by the camper next door that the owner hadn't scheduled a cleaning because it was too expensive. This is just hearsay but given it was just after the 4th you would think it would have been scheduled. I was not willing to use that for 4 days. I didn't get a chance to tell this part to the host because I hadn't used the potty yet & the host never got back to me after we spoke.
3rd When the host & I did speak tried to push a different campsite on me. Why would I move my camp 500 yards away - where I would still hear the dog! I said as much & she got snippy with me. I acknowledged I was choosing to leave, but with reason & asked if she would split the difference with me on a refund. I would pay 2 nights & she would reimburse me 2. She said she'd think on it. I have not heard back in 3 days - I even messaged her on Hipcamp which is unacceptable to me. I do not recommend this site.

We had a great stay at Gordon’s Pond. Patricia was a great host and made sure we were enjoying our stay. Our site was large and well groomed and our stay exceeded our expectations. It was a wonderful place to explore and relax! The sounds of nature were abundant— owls, bullfrogs, birds and coyotes , oh my! All while surrounded by horses whinnying and wildflowers and trees blowing in the breeze. The access to fresh water was a nice bonus! Great hip camp location and a lovely host!

We took our first family camping trip to Gordon’s pond. Mrs Patricia was a wonderful host, and we really enjoyed ourselves. The campers in the other spots were nice and cordial as well. It is a well run place, and only 10 minutes from town, if you forget some necessities, like our kids did 🤣

We had a great time! Patricia was very welcoming and friendly. We had lots of privacy and the site was larger than expected. The site had a large firepit, clean picnic table, and free firewood 🪵! Beautiful location, the property had friendly horses, wildlife like deer and rabbits and chipmunks. Will definitely be back!

10 stars for sure!! The place is absolutely beautiful! I am not sure which we loved more the stories Patricia shared with us, the horses, croaking frogs, all the birds or just the serene area.
This place has it all!! Take a walk through the trees , go through the daisy meadow, and end back under the trees.
The gazebo is a great common area, meet other campers and/or listen to the fantastic stories of Gordon's pond by Patricia., she is such an amazing person!
We highly recommend Gordon's pond

Such a beautiful property!! We got surprised with a rainy weekend, so Patricia upgraded our site due to our original site being muddy. The pond was beautiful, so many frogs and birds, plus horses in the distance! There were other camps around, but it felt very secluded and private.
I definitely recommend giving here a try, I didn't regret a single minute :)

We are still here and probably will be for the summer. Patricia is amazing! She was so great and greeted us the night we got here. She is willing to work with us and even went above and beyond and helped us set up our second tent. She comes down daily to check in and see if we need anything. This place is gorgeous and they are working on making it even better. We couldn't ask for a better place to spend our summer...and to top it off we made a new friend.

Exactly what we needed. Secluded and quiet for a reasonable price. Patricia was welcoming and informative - she literally left the light on for us, and a campfire cooking for our arrival (even though we missed our first night due to car troubles). Our remaining nights were perfect, exactly what we needed while passing through as a vendor on the disc golf pro tour.

It was a bit too find it but after that it was pretty easy, You're greeted by the dogs, they bark but are very sweet. Keep an eye out and you will see the horses walking around, they are sweet but can be a bit shy. Fresh clean water is a big plus. The gazebo can be a nice place to sit and relax. I love the sounds at night very peaceful. You hear coyotes but they are not on the property but I like the howls you can hear but they are brief and it gets quiet again you can hear the frogs and insects and owls. There is a country store that has a nice hot food selection as well. And last but not least Patricia is very nice and accommodating and likes to meet the guests when they arrive to welcome them. So if you like peace and quiet sounds of nature and no light pollution then Gordon's Pond is a nice place to be

The property has lots of potential. The pictures advertised were from a time the place was better taken care of. The pond doesn't look as inviting as the pictures advertised. Campsites did not have fire rings. And, the roads headed to the property need work. The horses were beautiful. But, need a good grooming and hooving. One of the horses needs a vet. And, bring earplugs.
What was not advertised was the owner breeds dogs. And, those dogs bark. A lot. Coyotes came the first night we were there. And, the dogs there and in the neighborhood barked from midnight til after 4 AM. Tuesday morning at 8AM We woke up to chainsaws running. Wednesday morning was Porta potty cleaning at 9 AM. So sleeping in didn't happen for us. The owner is extremely nice. And, suggested earplugs. I know only so much work can be done with just one set of hands working on the place. I'm hoping a local charity or church local to the property could come help her out by cleaning and shaping the campsites for her. She seems like a good lady who could use a little help. I told her I'd leave a honest review and so I have. We were Upgraded to site 3 when we got there which was more private. But, closest to the dogs.
Minor improvements and a good clean full pond and this place would be booked solid.

Patricia is a lovely host! Her property is beautiful and serene. She upgraded us to Tent 3, it was secluded, shaded, can fit few tents comfortably. It was also nice to have a picnic table. We also met with the rescue horses and they were friendly! We will definitely return :)

Such a peaceful quiet space. Patricia was a lovely host, fir valley pour house down the road is a wonderful place to have lunch or a elevated dinner. Live music as well on most weekends. Great swimming holes nearby as well!
I would definitely recommend staying, I hope to make my way back for years to come.
