Birthroots Sanctuary is simply magic! In our sanctuary, you will be surrounded by butterflies, dragon flies and humming birds and catch glimpses of otters, eagles, fox and kingfishers. Each season has its own magic. The land is a riparian preserve and native medicinal botanical sanctuary. The entire sanctuary totals 11 acres with 1/4 mile of private creek. The Sanctuary Campground is 1 private acre with creek front (both sides), private beach and private trail. Fall asleep to the sounds of the water, walk the trail and find rough sewn sustainably harvested benches made on the property to sit and forest bathe or meditate. The land is currently under restoration in conjunction with Rogue River Watershed Council, Jackson County Soil and Water and Oregon Department of Forestry. The owner attended a course in Land Stewardship with Oregon State University Extension and applied what they learned to the restoration of the property and the education of anyone interested in learning more. Some of the beautiful native plants being protected or restored include Trillium (aka Birth Root), Oregon Grape, Elderberry and more. Get the forest healing and peace your soul is searching for. Let the creek lull you to sleep, lounge in a hammock or float on the creek and take a nap. We are the gateway to Crater Lake (69 minutes) and the only National Park in Oregon all along the Rogue River with more waterfalls than any other state. Minutes from river rafting (25 min). Multiple Rogue River sights and hiking opportunities including, Avenue of the Boulders, Natural Bridge, River Gorge, Pearsony Falls, Mill Creek Falls and Lost Creek Lake all within a gorgeous 45 minute drive through the forest with views of Lost Creek Lake, Rogue River and smaller watershed creeks. Off-roading and adventure sports, fishing, thrifting and more all within 25-45 minutes of your forest creek front sanctuary. Otter update! Since we had some rain, the creek has more water and we spotted two otters this morning! WEDDINGS, RENEWAL OF VOWS, HAND-FASTINGS, ELOPEMENTS! The host, Willow, is an ordained multi-denominational Minister making Birthroots Sanctuary an intimate Forest Retreat Wedding or Hand-fasting Destination. This place is perfect for super small weddings, elopements, hand-fastings or other custom ceremonies like Baby Blessings, First Moon Rituals and more... Off tucked away and very private is the tent only walk-in site. Parking is about 100’ walk down a private path to the Creekside campsite. This site is the closest to the creek at about 69 feet and has a private beach area from the rest of the campground. No power. No water. Steps to the private creek. View of the falls Under the bridge and listen to its gentle sounds as you drift into deep sleep. No open flames. Be careful to step around native grasses and be gentle on the land.

Bath House Campsite on Creek
We had a good time at the bathhouse campsite on the Creek. The bath house is used by multiple campsites so it wasn't as private as we would have liked. The host was very responsive.

Hippie Beach Adjacent
Great place to stay tucked away in the forest, absolutely loved it. The land is very well preserved, which is great if you love nature. Birds are happily chirping away each morning. I was here in the summer, so I escaped a couple of days into the creek right next to my campsite. I met Willow and she was just lovely. I would absolutely recommend this place if you want some relaxation.

Shade Garden Campsite on Creek
We loved camping on Willow's land! The campsite was well cared for, there were lots of wonderful places to spread out and relax and the amenities were fabulous. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a nature retreat and adding a tarot reading made for a super fun night.

I can’t recommend this campsite enough! The hosts were so welcoming and accommodating the location was great, the boathouse was adorable and even had hot water! We went to crater lake and the drive was easy and very scenic!

Creek listening, star gazing, and hot bathing were a few of our favorite things about our stay by the creek. Our hosts were friendly and inviting and they have clearly put a lot of work and care into creating a fun and peaceful space. The bath house far exceeded our expectations!

We loved this property. The bath house was great, with good hot water and a soaking tub or shower. The creek was so fun to play in and there were lots of sweet little places under the trees to hang out. Willow and Chris were very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend.

Such a gorgeous spot! Willow was a fantastic host. I so appreciated her clear and thoughtful communication. The creek is right there and so easy to access. We had so much fun playing in it and exploring. Such a lovely and relaxing experience all the way around. Thank you for sharing your slice of paradise with us! Highly recommend!

What a relaxing and welcoming spot! Willow and Chris met us on arrival and are great hosts. Power available and the bathhouse was an awesome addition. Water available but not potable but usable for showers or washing. The creek side setting is very calming. Absolutely recommend. Pay attention to the directions they give. The GPS maps sid not show the road we were on (on any of the apps) once about 8 miles off of the main road.

Willow has created a wonderful Haven - she has gone the extra mile to create a space of peace and tranquility by the water! Lots of comfortable hand made bench’s and other quiet sitting areas for meditation and reflection. The bath house with an antique tub and bench with hot water added a wonderful touch for a hot shower! A nice small walking trail along the creek! Was able to explore Crater Lake and a few recommended beautiful stops like the Natural Bridge along the way back to the campsite and then return for a meal and a great nights sleep! Clean and safe environment as well!

Willow and her partner are incredibly kind + welcoming and we had a great stay at their place! The bathhouse is super cute + easy to use. Willow is a yoga instructor and I highly recommend adding on a morning yoga session with her during your stay!

Shady spot by the creek, close to Mill Creek waterfalls & 1.5hrs from Crater Lake. Gas in Prospect. We painted rocks by the creek when we weren’t out exploring. Fun weekend getaway. Grateful for the facilities.

Willows place, BirthRoots Sanctuary, is absolutely amazing. Far away and secluded, away from noise and view of other campers like at any other public camp ground. We all appreciated the opportunity to meditate in the forest and commune with the creek. There are no poisonous plants, none at all! Our doggo loved lounging in the shade and drinking form the creek. Our arrival and hook up process was so easy. Directions were spot on. If we needed anything we could easily head into town. This is a spot we will come to again and again.
