Cranberry Overlook is a large, 75-acre, organic farm situated just a mile from the incredibly scenic Oregon coast. Our primary crops are cranberries and blueberries, however, we grow a variety of responsibly raised fruits, vegetables, herbs, chestnuts, and mushrooms, too. The farm is certified organic by Oregon Tilth and deeply committed to creating and maintaining a diverse, sustainable ecosystem.
Dispersed camping is situated in a quiet corner of the farm, overlooking one of our three cranberry bogs. It is out of view of the main house in a fenced area, giving you a cozy, private experience surrounded by mature trees, roaming sheep and a cool ocean breeze.
Spend time hiking our 75-acre property, touring the farm on foot, gathering around the fire ring or exploring the quaint, coastal town of Bandon. Traveling the coast via Highway 101? Stay with us on your way! Or, even better, make Black Moon Farms your multi-night getaway, enjoying the peace and quiet of life on the farm.
Last, but certainly not least, we are home to 35 sheep, wild lobster mushrooms and 12 ponds scattered around the property for irrigation and stock water. A five-acre grove of chestnuts is at the front of the property, along with numerous pine trees, redwoods, eucalyptus and a variety of shrubs.

This campsite offers a peaceful retreat nestled within a working farm, where guests frequently mention the quiet, open spaces, and the charm of being surrounded by nature. Campers appreciate the spread-out sites, providing a sense of privacy and tranquility, with distant ocean sounds adding to the serene atmosphere. The host, Nick, is noted for his friendliness and attentiveness, enhancing the welcoming feel of the place. A few reviews mention minor issues with finding the right campsite and the lack of traditional amenities, but overall, visitors highly recommend it for a relaxing getaway.
There were no disappointments, everything that you see in the pictures is true to life! It's an amazing secluded location. Still close enough to Bandon and Port Orford and wherever else you might want to go. I will definitely come back to visit. Nick was very friendly and so were the sheep ☺️
The camp next to bog was very open and perfect for my needs and more! Nick is an active Organic Farmer who
also does an amazing job, gently attending to any campers needs and questions! Your own pottie here is best. Super relaxing with great sky views if you are a star person. +++
I loved my stay on Nick's farm! The sites are very spread out from one another and it was incredibly quiet - you could even hear the ocean waves in the distance. It was a lovely change after 3 weeks of camping in more crowded state parks.
Another great visit to our favorite camping place.
Beautiful and peaceful property. The dogs love the space to run and the ponds to swim in (if you don't mind dirty dogs).
Enjoyed the afternoon visits from Bella the resident dog.
Easy day trips to the beach and short drives to bandon and Port orford for shopping and restaurants.
Nick and Bella are wonderful hosts. The Cranberry Overlook (Black Moon Farm) is such a wonderful, peaceful place nestled 1.5 miles off the main road. The campsites are clean, quiet, and private. This is truly a welcoming and loved working farm. Highly recommended!
Really beautiful and private place for our jeep with rooftop tent. Met nick who explained the cranberry bog he was working on, super nice guy and Bella (his dog) was also awesome
Great stay, lots of space between sites, composting toilet, electricity, Adirondack chairs—each site level and well appointed. Not too far off the 101 but you’d never know it was there. Definitely coming back.
Always a lovely stay on this property!
In fact, we recommend people we meet on our trip to check it out and book with Nick!
It is so peaceful and serene and I'm grateful always for the chance to stay here when we visit the Oregon Coast!
Nick always makes us feel welcome and at home!
Our spot was very private and we really enjoyed having a campfire under the stars. Host is very responsive. The sites only have compostable toilets and no showers. Other than that it was perfect!
We loved this well maintained property. It is a cranberry farm with beautiful trees approaching and in the hip camp area. Great place for beating the heat. We especially enjoyed the black sand beach just south on hwy 101 23 miles away.
Very pleasant and quiet spot to pitch a tent for the night. Ocean sounds in the distance, sheep sounds closer by. Basic amenities, so come prepared with that you need
Didn't see sheep (heard them in evenings) or other farm animals but the setup was very nice with a fire pit, picnic table and Adirondack chairs and prob the quietest Hipcamp I've been to where I wasn't the only guest. (Notable exception of what seemed to be either a few random rounds at a shooting target or an orchard cannon in a.m.) Lots of space between sites. Still confused about what I assumed was the outhouse (covered bucket with toilet seat on top but seemed to never have been used) but the blueberry farm next door had.one and $4.25 for pre-picked.
We absolutely loved our stay at Black Moon Farms. NICK was a gracious and welcoming host. His 75-acre cranberry farm near Bandon on the Oregon coast is a peaceful place to relax and enjoy nature.
There are four campsites, three with electricity. There is no running water or traditional bathroom, but a composting toilet is provided, and that was made very clear when we booked. The campsites are generously spaced apart, giving everyone plenty of privacy. At night, you can even hear the ocean waves in the distance.
One of the highlights was NICK taking the time to explain the cranberry farming process and how the farm changes throughout the seasons. It was fascinating to learn about his work. His friendly dog even joined Bailey and me on a walk around the property. We enjoyed exploring the farm, seeing the sheep and ponds, and it was obvious how much care and pride NICK puts into maintaining his land.
We’re very grateful that he’s willing to share this special place with others. If you’re looking for a quiet, unique camping experience on the southern Oregon coast, I highly recommend Black Moon Farms.
We had such a relaxing time. Nick is an amazing host. He explained his cranberry bog to us. We had two other campers about 100 yards away. We would definitely stay here again.
