This campground features a horse camp, 24 three-sided Adirondack shelters, 23 camping sites, two dry RV sites, three rustic two-room cabins, and a spacious day lodge equipped with cooking facilities, making it ideal for groups of up to 250 people. Each camping site is thoughtfully furnished with a picnic table and fire ring, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Winding pathways and roads meander through the park's dense evergreen and hardwood temperate forest, providing a serene backdrop for exploration. Visitors can choose between forest roads or the single-track Liahona Trail, which spans 3.5 miles and loops through the park, crossing charming bridges over Oak Ranch Creek. For those seeking a longer adventure, wider forest roads offer five, seven, or ten-mile loops through the thick woods. All trails are designed to be easy to moderate, making them accessible for a range of skill levels. Conveniently located 16 miles northwest of Scappoose on Apiary Road, Camp Wilkerson is open year-round, although the lodge is closed during the winter months.
