Lakefront beauty on Lake Of Bays!
Great camping experience! Very close to the lake. Everyone had plenty of fun in and on the water (swimming and paddle boarding).

Lakefront beauty on Lake Of Bays!
My 2 daughters and I loved it!
It was a private piece of land which was great! Having an RV made the trip. No one around. Plenty of room to park! and 2 fire pits one by the rv and one by the lake made it ideal. Would go back again. Much better than being at a trailer park. Dry private. Excellent piece of land.

Lakefront beauty on Lake Of Bays!
Really lovely space.
We enjoyed camping here and it was well worth the money. More privacy and water front then any provincial park. Fires at night were nice. Saw some deer mid day, too. Paddled around the lake both days we were there and water was nice. We came with a 13ft trailer and parked up top. There is a very short walkway to the water. Someone clearly did not listen to host and tried to drive down it..creating huge ruts of mud. Please listen to host to ensure everyone can enjoy the area! We just took the wooded area down instead. No mud!

If it wasn't for the rain...
It was unfortunate that there was record rainfall in the month of July leading up to our stay at this location. It was gorgeous to say the least, however, we did have an unfortunate event occur. Our host had a family emergency and could not meet us to show us the camp site. When previously chatting with her we were told we were able to drive our truck close to the water (as we set our tent up on the back bed of the truck). There was no signage to tell us where to go so we saw a path leading down to the water that looked clear to drive down. We ended up getting stuck in a foot of mud near the bottom and was faced with an unfortunate $800 bill to get towed out. (The first tow truck got stuck as well so a second one was called.) We reached out to the host and Hipcamp but were advised that the Hipcamp liability insurance does not cover this. We ended up leaving on the 3rd day of our trip instead of the 4th as it rained the whole time and the site became too muddy to enjoy. The tow bill put a dent in the weekend to say the least, especially after already paying $250 for 4 days and having to leave early. What a vacation for that price! We are not going to try our chances with Hipcamp again. So unfortunate. (It's a good thing we got $10 off the next reservation!)

Lakefront beauty on Lake Of Bays!
We stayed for 2 nights August 9-10. Pictures looked good so decided to go for it. Jacqueline was pretty helpful in answering my questions. A little unclear on directions but it was alright decently easy to find. The property itself isn’t much to look at. Basically swap where the “tent” area is as well as the Fire pit so it was unusable. We walked around a bit but it was very soft and wet and no good place to pitch a tent. The shoreline didn’t have any easy access to the water and even if it did you would need water shoes. Lots of sharp rocks and dead heads. We decided to pitch our tents at the top of the driveway because it wasn’t swap. Not much to do on the property and no where to explore. The driveway is shared with other cabins so we had somebody basically drive right up to us to do something but unsure what, they left in about 10 minutes. The one cabin is maybe 300 feet away which we could see. They had a dog that barked most of the time we were there and the dog kept coming closer and barking. Needless to say the owner didn’t do much about their dog. This land is alright if you don’t mind setting up on the gravel driveway away from the water and fire pit, dog barking all day, lots of noise on the lake. Maybe it would be different if it was dry not sure, however that wouldn’t change the neighbours. Either way not a great spot for an avid camper but if you’re from the city just looking for a quick getaway and don’t mind some of the things I mentioned then go for it. Nothing against Jacqueline just our experience.
