This small farm is 7 acres of the original 25 my great grandmother purchased for her family in 1934. The house dates back to the 1850s and is a post and beam structure. Guests can enjoy the barn, which has been converted to a rec area. Make our home and green space yours for a few days. Camp in comfort in our "little cabin in the woods." Accommodates up to six guests, with a queen-sized bed, a futon and two single rope-beds with foam mattresses in the loft, accessible only by ladder. Kids six and older may sleep in the loft-- just like Laura and Mary-- and they can read a chapter of one of Laura Ingalls' "Little House" books before bed! The Camp Cabin contains a small refrigerator, microwave and gas fireplace (no, the pioneers didn’t have that!). Fresh eggs and other snacks are provided for breakfast. The restroom and shower are located in the walkout basement of the farmhouse, a 40 yard walk from the Cabin. The restroom has a private entrance and is used only by guests during their stay. Pet and feed goats and other farm animals. Enjoy fun activities on the farm and in the barn.Camp in comfort in our "little cabin in the woods." The Hallstead Camp Cabin
The little cabin in the woods
We had a very good experience camping in the Cabin. The Hosts were very discreet. You feel like you are by yourself. But if u need anything they are there to help. The place very organized. We fished in the pond with the kids. We petted the goats. And we played at the barn. There is a basketball court and a climbing wall. There is a flea market very close. The biggest and open every day. The restroom and shower is located at the hosts house basement. You have access 24hrs and washing and drying machine available as well. The place is just beautiful ! And the owners are very helpful. I recommend the place for everyone. And definitely we are going back for sure

The Hallstead Camp Cabin
Beautiful private cabin
I had a great stay at this beautiful little cabin! A few friends and I had gone up to the Blossom music center, and I stayed the weekend with my husband. We visited Cuyahoga National Park the next day, both destinations were about 30-35 mi from the cabin. Donna's email had specific direction instructions, and she was a very hospitable and welcoming host. The cabin was secluded and the hosts gave us perfect privacy. The bathrooms were clean and just a short walk from the cabin (a private area off of the house). The property was nice to watch the sunrise/sunset, and to star gaze. We loved feeding the goats, and especially loved Shiloh the cat. The bed was very comfortable, mostly everything was provided, just bring basic camping/cooking supplies, if you visit. Hot plate provided! Thank you again Donna for our stay, we cant wait to visit again the next time we are in Ohio!

The Hallstead Camp Cabin
Will visit again!
This cabin was beautiful, peaceful, and fun. We had abundant privacy considering the cabin was located behind the main house. The bathroom/shower was located at the main house with private entrance. There were farm animals (who were totally chill and cute) that you could interact with, a small pond, grill, firepit, hammock, picnic table, chairs, etc, essentially everything you'd want in a cabin trip. The site was also close to (<10 mins) a big grocery store and a large flea market/farmers market, where we bought some steak/vegetables and charcoals to grill for dinner. The fresh eggs were also a good perk.

The Hallstead Camp Cabin
Exceptional farm camping experience
Beautiful farm property located in Hartville. A very private cabin that has been tastefully decorated and extremely comfortable. Our kids had a blast paddling around the little pond, catching frogs and fire flies. Donna left us to our own and at no point did we feel like we were intruding. I highly recommend this place and is worth a trip on its own!

This property is by far the best Hipcamp we have ever stayed at in 6 years. The hosts go above and beyond to provide a calm, peaceful, and easy going camping experience. From the stocked cabin, to providing firewood, and allowing the use of their basement bathroom and shower, it is a fantastic time for all types of campers. We had a large group, and were able to set up an additional tent to accommodate. The backyard was straight out of a movie, and will inspire our home build. Playground was great for the kids!

What a hidden gem! Donna’s place was so private and secluded. The kiddos loved the cabin loft, Rec room in the barn and paddle boat on the pond. Great overall experience. Would highly recommend.
