Get a good nights rest while on our getaway, and still enjoy your outdoor cooking, fishing and star gazing.Come welcome the beautiful fall foilage and Trees at Bear Pond.  You will find 2.5 + mostly wooded acres, surrounded by more woods, with multiple areas to pitch tents.  At the end of the graveled entrance driveway, you will find a 30-amp RV outlet as well as a general duplex 115v outlet.  The Driveway is gated and can be locked with the combination lock and chain that is provided to give you Privacy and Solitude.  Phone signal is relatively good, depending on service provider, Service can be spotty around the pond and down the hills towards the creek.  Bear Pond is a good place for privacy as it is only available for 1 booking at a time.  There will be no other campers outside your group.  your only 4.5 miles from anything you need, Gas, supermarket, auto store, food. If you prefer small Mom and Pop Diners, stop in and say Hi to Delbert and Margaret at Mikey's Family Restaurant, I don't think you will be disappointed.  Charcoal Grill is supplied in case you just want to bring charcoal and camp cook. Things to do:  Hiking Buzzards Roost, Canoe/Kayaking @ MoonDoggie LIVERee, visiting Miller’s Amish furniture and Bakery, Shawnee National Forest, Adams State Lake, Serpent Mound and the Sunshine store, just to mention a few things to do..  There is about a 1/4 mile perimeter that can be walked/Hiked.  It is not a necessarily an easy walk as you will be crossing the creek 3 times along with going up dirt hills.  This is not a finished trail as there are no bridges over the creek or necessarily beaten trails, you will be following the property markers.   So bring your walking stick and boots.    Your away from everything but close to what ever you want. Bigfoot Country ;) Fishing and Bigfoot Hunting allowed,  however they are both catch and release :)

Bear Pond
Peace and quiet
We camped out at bear pond for our wedding anniversary weekend, it was very peaceful and quiet. There is a road near the campsite though traffic isn’t bad at all and dies down in the evening. We definitely plan on camping here again with our family. The owner is very nice and prompt with response if you have any questions.

We had a great time camping at Bear Pond. The best part was not having any noisy neighbors and having the whole area to ourselves. The pond was good for fishing which was a bonus, and John’s communication was quick and helpful.

Bear Pond
We hand a great time! The campsite was quiet and surrounded by nature. We caught fish in the pond and walked the area with our dogs. The area is pretty much all hill except for the gravel camping pad, fire pit area, and the pond area Firewood was left for us to use and we were able to find branches on the property to burn. We will definilty be back to this spot!

Good space for the number of people we had. Was flexible with us and just let us have the run of the place! Would stay again!
