Wrong Way River Lodge and Cabins: Asheville's Only Outdoor Hotel
Wrong Way is an outdoor cabin hotel that provides a comfortable base camp for exploring Asheville, North Carolina. It’s also a convenient gateway to many outdoor activities and the Blue Ridge Mountains!
Enjoy easy access to Asheville's most popular attractions, such as the French Broad River Greenway (across the street), River Arts District (1 mile), West Asheville's Haywood Road (1 mile), Biltmore Estate and historic Biltmore Village (2 miles), the South Slope Brewing District (3 miles), and the heart of Downtown Asheville (3 miles).
The property features 16 tiny A-frame cabins with all the creature comforts, including a private bathroom, HVAC, and high-speed WiFi. The communal River Lodge, with its Canteen, lounge, and several rentable event spaces, anchors the property as a place to eat, drink, gather, and shop.
Corporate events just got a lot more fun—and event planning just got a lot easier! Whether you’re planning a seminar, fundraiser, team-building retreat, or holiday party, our Asheville event space is a unique venue your team will love. The Deluxe A-frame cabins are tucked quietly into the back of the property, adjoining the wooded meadow. They have dormers for more space, which allows for a privacy wall that separates the bedroom. A queen bed and queen sleeper sofa will sleep 4 guests, and you have all the amenities you’ll need to relax and recharge after a long day playing and exploring in Asheville. And if you can’t find something in the cabin, we have plenty of other amenities in the River Lodge. Parking and access is located in the upper lot beyond the River Lodge. Hope to see you soon!

We are in an urban area of Asheville with all the sights and sounds that come with that environment, including traffic noise from the adjacent road. This is why we focus on cabins as the primary accommodation. Deluxe - Pet Friendly

Our pet-friendly cabins allow you to bring your furry friend along with you. If you plan to bring a dog, please be sure to update the 'Guests' count with the number of animals that will be accompanying you. A $30 fee per pet, per night will automatically be applied to the rate. We ask that pets be kept on-leash and closely managed by their humans at all times. The Wrong Way property is within walking distance of a dog park if they need to get their wiggles out.

All standard A-frame cabins are perched on piers 12-14 feet off the ground, giving you an amazing view of the greenway and river across the street. After parking your vehicle in the dedicated parking spot under the elevated cabin, you will take a shared set of stairs up to the gravel trail, which takes you to your cabin's entrance. A queen bed and queen sleeper sofa will sleep 4 guests, and you have all the amenities you’ll need to relax and recharge after a long day playing and exploring in Asheville. And if you can’t find something in the cabin, we have plenty of other amenities in the River Lodge. Hope to see you soon!

Standard - ADA Accessible

Our Standard ADA-accessible cabin has dormers to provide an ADA-compliant floor plan and bathroom. It is the closest cabin to the River Lodge and the upper parking lot. Otherwise, it has the same amenities as our other Standard cabins. We do allow dogs in the ADA-accessible cabin. If you plan to bring a pet, please be sure to update the 'Guests' count with the number of animals that will be accompanying you.
