Beacon House is my dream: a lakeside escape for writers, creatives, travelers, and adventurers, close enough to civilization for ease but far enough to feel like a retreat. Tucked along peaceful Lake Cammack, our campsites offer a front-row seat to one of Alamance County’s hidden gems. Whether you're paddling calm waters, casting into one of North Carolina’s top fishing spots, or recharging on your Mountain-to-Sea Trail journey, this is your ideal escape. We’re just minutes from two paddle access points—Shallowford and Glencoe. With on-site kayak rentals, you can easily explore the lake or drift along the scenic Haw River. After a day outdoors, settle in by the water, cast a line, and soak in the stillness. “Create in nature, with nature.” Located next to Beacon House, a lakeside artist retreat and lifestyle lab, our site offers more than just views.     Bridgeview Campsite
    Really cool spot right on the lake with nice fire pits, space for big tent, and you can pull your car right up to your site. Nice and wooded, no houses or any other structures in view across the lake. Highly recommend for camping with young kids.

    Lakeside Lookout Campsite
    This is the perfect weekend getaway. It is beautiful scenery perfect to watch the sunrise on the lake. It was very private spot where you don’t have to worry about other campers. The fishing was amazing caught lots of bass and the kayak made it easy to navigate the lake. The owner made you feel very welcomed and was very helpful getting us fire wood and any supplies we might need. I would recommend this place to everyone.

    Overall it was a great view of the lake but the sites were too close. We booked both sites glad we did. Probably needs to do more grooming of the area. Our host was very nice and understanding. The dogs and the kids enjoyed the water

    Afika is a wonderful host. Was able to camp right down on the water behind his property. Sounds of the wildlife lulled us to sleep. Had a nice fire and a nice visit.

    Lakeside Lookout Campsite
    Really enjoyed staying here. It was quite a treat to get away and to be right next to the water. Eating dinner around a campfire while also having a chance to fish right there was such a treat. The host was most accommodating and I would definitely stay here again 10 out of 10.
