The land was beautiful and Jared was (is) an outstanding host -- very nice and accommodating. The farm is close to town if you want a restaurant, although we stayed put. It was also nice to have water and a bathroom.

Jared was a wonderful host. The site was amazing and the views stunning. On our trip we had all kinds of weather which made the mountain stand out in various ways. The lightning bugs lit up the trees and there were so many stars to see. On our last night we had heat lightning which lit up the skies and made us feel like we were watching fireworks. It was nice to have shelter there to keep us dry when it rained. Our dogs were able to roam around the site. Jared gave us a tour of his garden and gave us tons of plants to take home. We will be back

This space was just what I needed. The views are incredible and there’s so much to explore around (driving or walking).
Some of my favorite parts were afternoon waterfall showers and the way the hills seem to change when the sun finds a new position. I would love to come back and visit Snaggy Mountain again in the future.

Absolutely gorgeous site. They don’t call it epic view for nothing. Very quiet yet not too far from anything you might need. Jared was very responsive to communication.

It was a beautiful place to stay for the weekend. Jared was very kind and hospitable! It snowed and he brought us firewood and offered for us to stay inside with the wood stove if we wanted. We enjoyed hiking around on the land. The town of Burnsville was great also!

My boyfriend and I camped here for 3 nights and have nothing but great things to say! The view from the campsite is priceless. It’s a combination of peaceful and breathtaking to wake up to. We were overjoyed when we realized that the site even had a covered sheltered, which became a lifesaver since it turned out to be pouring rain 2/3 nights. We just set our tent up in the shelter and It was great. Jared was very helpful in answering our questions and assisting us. The bathhouse is an inviting and warm place to use the restroom and shower, and bonus points because the most adorable and friendly cat welcomed us each time we entered!
Tip: If it’s raining, plan to park closer to the gravel road to avoid getting stuck in the mud!

This was a fantastic find and just wish I would have planned for more time here. As host Jared was beyond accommodating. Pears and pumpkins from the farm and the greenhouse was impressive. Beautiful camping location.
As a musician though the farm was over the top. I had a great time in the studio with other musicians. I hadn’t anticipated anything this cool, but now I know !

Wonderful and very quiet place, ideal for resting and enjoying nature. The host Jared is a very friendly and helpful person. The campsite is very well located close to good restaurants. I really recommend it.

Loved our stay at Jared’s! His property is beautiful and peaceful and the view of the mountains during the day and the stars at night were gorgeous! Jared was so nice and helpful and easily gotten ahold of! The bathroom was nice and the new tiny home on the site was a perk! We can’t wait to come back!

For my own selfish reasons, I don’t want to rave about Jared’s place too much, or I’ll never be able to book it. Simply put, epic views are correct and this site was exactly what I needed. Trails, privacy, and a gorgeous grassy knoll to enjoy a campfire and sleeping under the stars. Thanks Jared!

Wonderful property! My family and I had a blast staying here. Convenient restroom/shower, surrounded by farm animals, what more could you ask for on a weekend camping trip? Would definitely look here again if we came back to this area.

Beautiful spot to camp. Close to Mt. Mitchell and surrounding mountains for hiking and outdoor activities. Jared was a welcoming and gracious host. Stars are incredible In the upper meadow.

The spot is beautiful. It’s a nice sized, secluded campground with a cool bus next to it. Fire pit is large and more than sufficient for a good fire. Jared is a great host, and if you’re lucky, some of the cats will come hang out at the campsite (very friendly).

The view was beautiful!
I really didn't interact with everyone as I thought I would. I was tired at night, and most people were gone during the one full day of no rain I had on this trip. I didn't get the tour I signed up for, but that was mainly because of the tropical storm that moved through the area during my stay.
One piece of advice particularly for women and folks with young children: Bring a camping toilet. The communal house is way, way down the hill. Without my camping toilet, I don't think I could have stayed.
The bus was on my site. It isn't my cup of tea, but I can see how a lot of people, especially kids, would enjoy it.
The coolest part of the trip was the view. It deserved it's name, Epic.

We stayed at the Bus Site, and it was great! The view was incredible, felt like you were on top of the world.
The host was very welcoming and chill- make sure you stop by his house to look at the awesome map he has of the property and get advice on places to explore!!

Jared was awesome, he went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The property is child friendly and the views are breathtaking. The horses were a wonderful unexpected surprise. The open sky was also amazing for stargazing too!
We can't wait to come back! Thank you for making our camping trip special.

The minute we drove to the top of the site, we wondered, “Where the heck are we?” (In a good way.) The pics you’re looking at here don’t do it justice. With the land sprawling before you below and mountains rising in the distance, you’ll get A sorta otherworldly vibe when you peek out of your tent. :)

Cool space nestled down a hillside in a lush valley. Heard cows mooing and people playing instruments at night. The bus was an awesome surprise as well. Would def recommend!

While The site had an incredible view of Mt Mitchell and was very private, it was a bit rough around the edges and rustic. If you are looking for perfection, this might not be the place for you, but if you are super easy going, it could be fine.
