Pitch your own tent on this great 10ft. x 14ft. elevated wood platform. No water will touch the bottom of your tent! This site is the most secluded in the wooded back end of the “glampground”. It sits right at the edge of the stream (so it will lull you to sleep), 30 ft. from the large Food Pavilion and 25 ft. from Camping Platform #1. You are less than a 2 minute walk from the Camp Lodge & Restroom/Bathhouse. (There is no level ground to pitch a tent by this platform.) Please ask about your Site’s specific parking place. It is not right next to your platform. [1-2 PETS allowed for additional fee with prior approval.] Freshwater and a Cleaning Sink are available on the lower level of the Lodge in the Screened Area. Guests have access to all of the amenities of the Lodge and Grounds. Includes: a stream, fire pits, food pavilions, lounging areas, games, TV WiFi, and our Gorgeous camp bathrooms with toilets, showers, sinks, hairdryers, hand-dryers, and soaps. Enjoy staying in a completely remodeled and cozy vintage 1962 Shasta camper. The "canned ham" became a favored family camper beginning in 1941. Our Shasta is parked permanently for you to enjoy here in the Nantahala Gorge. The interior sports one flip-down sofa/full-size bed (which is best for guests under 6' tall!), stationary table, mini-fridge, microwave, and coffeemaker (but no stove), plus full linens. It has electric power for lighting, fan or heater, and receptacles. Toilets and showers are in the Lodge*. Loved all of it!!

Truly "Glamorous"

This place is so cute! They thought of everything you'd need and then some. The hosts area a lovely couple with a super cute doggy! This was my first time "glamping" with my friend and we loved loved loved our Lil Tent. It was super girly and we highly recommend this camp site!!

“Canned Ham” 1962 Shasta Camper

Wendi & Scott thought of ALL the details! Our stay was absolutely lovely in the 1962 “canned ham” — from the “camp store” in the lodge, to the clean & cozy bath house, + the communal fire pits…our stay was one we absolutely cannot wait to relive! We fully plan to return & are looking forward to another wonderful stay here! Memories made, for sure! Sincerely, thank y’all for making this trip extra-special! :)

This was our second time camping here, and we loved it just as much—if not more—than the first. We chose Site 2 by the creek, and it was absolutely perfect. The sound of the water flowing nearby made everything feel calm and grounding. There’s something really special about waking up to the creek and having that quiet, tucked-away feeling while still being close to the main trail and amenities. The amenities are incredible and you will be provided with anything you could need/forgot at home! The site itself was clean, shaded, and had just the right amount of space for our setup. It felt private without being isolated. We spent our days hiking, relaxing by the water, and just enjoying each other’s company in such a peaceful setting.. This trip felt extra special because it was a return visit, and there was something really meaningful about coming back to a place that already held memories for us and creating new ones together. We’re already talking about coming back again. This is such a great spot and we highly recommend to everyone! I grew up in Bryson City and it is always a joy to come back to visit, even more so with this campsite!

One of our all-time favorite campsites! It absolutely earns the name “Gorgeous Stays!” The camp hosts are so incredibly nice and SUPER accommodating! They had great recommendations for dining, hiking, fishing, and unique-to-the-area little gems. We loved our stay!

Red Woof Inn

What a fun find! We are typically regular campers/backpackers, so this was quite the treat for us. The Red Woof Inn was super comfy, easy to find, and just what our elder dog needed to still get the camping experience that she loves while staying comfy in her old age. Honey the Golden came out to greet us when we arrived, she is the sweetest goofy girl! Wendi and Scott are lovely hosts. Our stay was too short but very enjoyable, and we look forward to returning!

This is the most secluded campsite on the property, and it was GORGEOUS! Scot, the camp host, was incredible- super friendly and helpful, and the site was so incredibly nice. The bathhouse was spotless and spacious, and falling asleep over the babbling creek was exactly the experience we were looking for.

Wendi and Scott were great hosts! The space they have is super unique, and very welcoming with all of the accommodations you need! Their location is prime for so many outdoor adventures! I will absolutely be going back to stay.

Absolutely beautiful spot!!! Owners are very nice and accommodating. Property is very well taken care of and maintained - very close to restaurants and rafting areas. Location is off the road enough for minimal noise. Bathrooms / Showers / Sinks super clean. Will definitely be back!! Thank you :)

Perfect getaway!!!

Harry's Wizarding World

First of all everything was perfect. We were greeted by friendly hosts willing to share all the info we needed. We stayed in the Harry Potter safari tent and loved it. The heated blankets made for a super cozy stay. My son did not want to get out of bed in the morning. 😜 The camping toilet in the tent was a nice addition. We did not need to use it but it is very convenient for late night number ones. No need to walk up to the bathhouse except if going number two. They have such a beautiful set up. We played frisbee on the open field and for breakfast we hung out in the lodge. I forgot to bring milk for my cereal, which they had available… and so much more. Very accommodating and all done on the honor system. The shower room was also awesome. Bath towels and shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispensers were so convenient. Unfortunately we have to leave but we will definitely be back. My son is already talking about organizing a Boyscout alumni trip with his old “brothers” to this gem of a place.
