We had a bigger group where all of us tent camped and it was so much fun. There was plenty of space, even with four dogs. The dogs had a great time playing in the river!
Would definitely recommend bringing your own fold out table, bug spray, and some toilet paper for the outhouse.

Excellent place that had great privacy. Close to hiking and fishing, and stores for supplies. Will definitely be staying there again. The host was incredibly flexible and helpful .

Campsite was in very cool spot - driving through a private (small plane) airport into a secluded field and site on a calm creek. We really enjoyed our stay here, would definitely come back and recommend.

The positives: The site is very quiet, large, isolated, and close to town. It was nice to watch a few planes take off from the nearby airfield.
Room for improvement: The creek bank is overgrown so we could not view the creek. The grass had not been cut recently. And the road across the airfield and to the site is very rough. For the price it was not as good as expected. It has great potential though.

Large private space, close to downtown! Perfect for large groups. Running water and outhouse are on-site but a bit of a walk from the site.

We really enjoyed staying here, was very peaceful. I do want to let everyone know we were informed a new owner has recently bought this place who hasn't had a chance to learn the land but gave us the freedom to roam around. We couldnt find a spot for easy river access but we managed. He did inform us he will be coming to the property and has big plans for this place (we'd love it if the camp spot bank was cut out, maybe use railroad ties to step it down). We will definitely keep an eye on this place and make more trips. Camp site had two fire pits which worked out great. We had tents around one and the other at river was for us early birds to make coffee and breakfast over. Woke up Sunday morning to a family of turkeys outside the tent. Can't wait to see what the new owner does.

Second time staying here and we had a great experience once again. Charlie made us feel at home and was very attentive. The space is ample and very private, perfect for our dogs to run around and play while we relax. I highly recommend this spot!

The pond site was really quiet and isolated. We had the dogs off leash the whole time. It was really nice and the full hookup was really nice

Very private site with river access and outhouses close by. The outhouses were dirty when we got there, which I wasn't expecting because all the previous reviews I read said they were very clean. Charlie came out immediately to clean them up once I messaged him. He was so kind and even gave us great suggestions on local hikes!

We had a great time at the camp site! We loved the privacy of the location and the size of the space. The covered area to park was an added bonus as it did rain our last night. The water level of the river was pretty low and it was nearly still, so the water was murky. Unfortunately, we didn't end up getting to swim or float. Due to the still water the bugs were pretty bad in the evening and mornings. I would definitely recommend bringing insect repellent. If you're lucky, like we were, you'll get to see several planes land and take off at the airfield.

Aside from never hearing from the owner, Charlie, at all (thankfully a nice person at the gate entrance gave us the code so we could get to our site), and the bullfrogs being a little noisy at night, we had a great time! The campsite location was beautiful and spacious for our group. The grounds were freshly cut and looked well maintained. Just make sure to bring plenty of bug spray.
The pond site is located a short walk from the river entrance where we put our tubes in to float. The river campsite has a spot where you can exit for a quicker float, or continue on for a bit to get to a more open spot and longer float.

Lovely secluded site with lots of privacy. Beautiful setting in amongst the trees.

Adjacent to a small airfield. Real great watching microlights take off and land.

Level camp sights. Need to call Charlie for the gate code. A couple of fire rings to use. Charlie was great to work with. Don’t trust Google Maps it will lead you astray.

This site was absolutely perfect for us with our dogs. They could be off leash the entire time, and there was no concern of them bothering anyone. The amenities of the pond side site were as described. The pond isn't much to look at, but the frog chorus at night was amazing. Charlie was very friendly and all his communication was very good. We would easily stay here again.

Fantastic property with tons of space to run around with our doggies. Got to watch several small planes land and take off which was an added bonus. So private and felt like we had our own slice of the world. Highly recommend!!

Such a peaceful, beautiful campsite. No one is there...Our "Four Legged Kids" can run free. They love it.
We had a bonfire every night and listened to the night sounds.
Nothing better...Great Place !!!!

Wonderful private spot with all the hookups! Clear directions on how to get to the spot which we found even in the dark of night. Got to watch an airplane take off in the morning as well! Def would stay again! Thanks Charlie!

We had a blast camping in our travel trailer on Charlie’s land. It was nice to be close to town but you felt out there. Watching the small airplanes was really neat, as well. Charlie is a very nice guy and we hope to visit again soon.

Great spot by the river. We actually stayed at the tent site due to some confusion and difficultly finding the RV site. We preferred this location anyways so it worked out for us.

What a cool experience! This site requires you to literally cross a local airstrip to get to the campsite. Yes, we walked back over to watch a plane takeoff and land. 😁
The campsite was large and situated next to water. Two campfire rings and nestled in what appears to be a boxwood farm.
I’d call this semi-remote, meaning you are not far out of town (Marion), and semi-private, meaning depending where you set up camp you may be within line-of-sight from the houses across the creek.
Very peaceful and quiet once it got dark. We had a great stay. Recommend!
