Healing Horses Hipcamps are all located on the outskirts of the horse pastures here on Five Foxes Farm and Amazing Grace Bed & Breakfast, where your hostess, Alicia Alexander has been providing Hospitality, Healing Retreats and Fundraier’s for 37 Years. The 1836 Farmhouse on this property has welcomed the 10 new lives born here, the friends and families of the many couples who married here and the countless travelers who have sought comfort here over the past nearly 200 years, the last 37 stewarded by your hostess, Alicia. During her 37 years here, she has held over 15 fundraisers and supported many in need. Her organic gardens and orchards have nourished many a body, and her generous hospitality has nourished many a soul. We welcome all campers seeking a beautiful and authentic experience with horses and nature!

The Forest Manger
Lovely stay near Ithaca
Alicia’s Forest Manager was beautiful, very private and extremely well maintained site. Only two sites in total (the manager and the camper van) overlooking the horse pasture where her horses came out to graze each morning and evening. The manger was so quaint and a lifesaver when it poured with rained and kept our tent dry. There was also ample firewood and she provided two jugs of water. There were also stools, tables and chairs, as well as a very clean outhouse. Alicia was also super hospitable, very friendly and came to say hello a few times. Her bunny is an added bonus, the cutest and softest bunny ever! A short 12-15 min drive from Ithaca. We went hiking in Robert Treman State Park, which Alicia suggested, and was excellent (not very busy even on a weekend, unlike Watkins Glen which was packed!). Also stopped by Brockton’s market (another of Alicia’s suggestions) for a glass of local wine to stay dry when it rained. So much to do around Ithaca and Cayuga Lake. Highly recommend Alicia’s as an affordable way to stay in the finger lakes.

The Forest Manger
Alicia and her land is just an utter wonder. Though we didnt get to explore the woods of her property, we did get to meet her horses and bunny. She was very welcoming and hospitable. We were so fortunate to find Alicia, as the state parks campsites were still closed for the season. It was lovely going to sleep to the sounds of nearby frogs. She had fire wood for us to use in a fire pit and a comfortable and cleanly eco outhouse. We will be back!! Thank you Alicia -Nora and Sam 🐍🐍🐍

The Forest Manger
Alicia’s place is truly magical. She takes such great care of her place, her beautiful animal friends, and her guests! I felt right at home. Laying in the hammock I was able to hear all of the wildlife around, watch the beautiful trees above me, and listen to the rhythms of the wind to rejuvenate my soul. And of course the horses! How lovely to meet them and see them in the field next to me throughout my stay. Alicia’s grace filled smile and wave from across the land greeted me whenever I needed anything. It was such a lovely retreat. I would highly recommend visiting. I really feel like I have made some wonderful new friends: Alicia, the horses, and of course bunny :) Looking forward to going back next time I’m in town. My daughter, who is at Ithaca college, raves about Alicia’s place and asks if I can stay there when I come to visit so she can have a bit of a retreat as well from dorm life! Perfect for both of us :)

The Forest Manger
This was my second stay at the Forest Manger, and once again it was a delight. Waking up in the morning to see Alicia's two horses grazing in the field nearby was magical. The space is enchanting with a field of wildflowers growing right next to me, and a row of pine trees at the edge of that field. I will be returning once more in September and then again in October. Thank you Alicia for creating another beautiful weekend stay for me. I will see in again soon.
