Slate Valley NY, Vermont marble country- we're on the NY/VT border this is where all the old roof slates were/are made. The property was probably an old quarry site, then farmed, now wooded and growing large trees and mushrooms galore. Mossy wetlands, pond, and stream with paths in the Hemlock and Pine forest. This is a rural area with old dairy farms, Amish farms, maple sugaring, and friendly country folks mixing with new retirees and new homes. Between the Green Mountains and the Adirondacks, we are a gateway to your adventures.

Site 1 - Grotto cabin for 3 season stays
Really great area for a getaway with kayaking, biking and hiking not too far away. Comfortable bed and thoughtful touches with battery operated lights amd a fan, dry firewood and fire starters.

Site 1 - Grotto cabin for 3 season stays
Gael and Rich were incredibly hospitable! They gave us a tour of the property upon arrival and had many camping amenities readily available for us! This was a great host for the “glamping” type who want the appeal of camping, but with a little more of the amenities! Highly recommend!
