1200 feet of riverfront property on a dead end road, filled with hemlocks and rhododendron, you will feel like you’re in the wilderness. Enjoy the sound of the cascading water, cool off in the swimming holes, or sunbathe on the rocks. There are 2 camping areas, one for a small pull behind camper or camper van/truck, and 1-2 tents, (Upper) and another tent area that can accommodate up to 3 tents. (Lower) Both spots are directly on the water and have fire pits with a supply of wood. These are primitive sites and need to be preserved, so please respect the Leave No Trace ethics. One of the best things you can do for your fellow campers is to leave the ground as clean or cleaner than you found it.

Dancing Feather- Upper

Nice early fall camping by a roaring stream. We stayed in a RTT and did not have level links with us so bring levelers if you’re staying in a vehicle. If not, there’s a couple flat places for a tent closer to the fire pit down the hill. Water if probably great in the summer time, deep enough in some places for a dunk.

We had such an amazing time camping at Dancing Feather! It felt very secluded despite being close to neighborhoods and a road. The river was gorgeous and I was so thankful that the site had a picnic table and firewood. So beautiful!

Riverside Campsite! Perfect!

This was a stunning spot to camp! We were only a few minutes from town but felt like we were in the wilderness! The river is beautiful - lulling us to sleep at night. There were rocks to sun ourselves on and we brought tubes and floated the river back down to our site 🙌🏼 We were able to find nice places nearby for a day hike had multiple spots to hang our hammocks to relax afterwards We love this little gem and will be back for sure!

River Side Relaxing

Great site along a small river. Was able to relax, enjoy the water and scenery. Really felt remote which was nice since we were traveling from NYC. Highly recommend!

Dancing Feather- Lower

So much waterfront!

Loved it here. I can’t believe we had so much waterfront all to ourselves. Had grand ideas about checking out one of the local lakes but just couldn’t manage to leave the hammock or the sound of the river. Lots of tree cover kept the temperatures just right for sleeping but was still able to do some Sun seeking on the big river rocks. Looking forward to next time!
