We have a family orientated 34 acre hobby farm with sheep, goats, chooks, geese and a chestnut orchard situated up in the hills of Turondale, we have lots of vantage points to see the majestic views on offer. It's just 6km drive to the Turon River where you can swim, picnic, fossick for gold and fish. The historic gold mining towns of Hill End and Sofala are close by too. It's nature's paradise here. We have local kangaroos, wallabies, echidnas, many varieties of birdlife including kookaburras, rosellas, king parrots, finches and wedgetail eagles. Shower and toilet available just a short walking distance away from each campsite. We have only tank water and have a limited supply so we ask that you please be water conscience while you are here. We ask that you please bring your own drinking water. Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place. A little bit supplied to get you started. Ok to gather your own fallen timber. Not dog friendly due to livestock concerns. Kids are welcome to get involved in animal feeding just see me on arrival.

Stunning spot, I spent 3 nights over Easter 2022. Yvonne and Steve lovely hosts - said a quick hello and then left me to my own devices. Good 4G Telstra reception, enough to watch streaming content. Requires access via a paddock track - took a bit of skill, but I was able to get my Tesla with low ground clearance in and out without a scuff. Would love to stay again - would be perfect for a big group of friends.

Great spot for our young family. Great views and facilities. Enjoyed our time there and the kids adored rusty the friendly border collie.

10/10 Sunset Views

My husband and I needed to get away from the city and this was the perfect spot for it. You are greeted by their adorable and friendly dog Rusty. On a hill with sunset and sunrise views, along with the beautiful moonlight too. It does get windy on the hill but we had some ear-plugs and were totally fine and slept OK. Toilet and shower was clean. Hill End is close by to check out and Mudgee too. The drive is nice. Thank you for having us Steve and Yvonne! Definitely would love to come back with fam.

Very enjoyable overnight stay at Sunset. Sunset has beautiful views and is very aptly named. The benefit of a lovely, clean bathroom in close proximity to the campsite is also great. This was our first proper camp as parents with two under 4. They loved it!

Great view but windy!

Great views and great host. On top of ridge and exposed and very windy during recent NSW rainfall event.
