I am a special education school teacher in San Diego County. My husband, Mitch, is a retired U.S. Navy Chief. Between us, we have 5 children and 2 grandchildren. We enjoy spending time with family and friends, shopping (Paula) and martial arts (Mitch). :) After losing a child in an accident, two thoughts I live by are "Never take anything for granted", and "Don't let a day go by without telling someone you love them".Unwind and relax at this charming, rustic, cabin-style get away. Our beautiful tree-lined property is a true western retreat. It is an excellent place to plan a Death Valley adventure. The stone built home features 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (1 loft suite and 1 suite downstairs). Take a refreshing swim in the pool and enjoy the peaceful quiet that the property offers. In addition to a full kitchen and on-site laundry, this home offers many custom touches and local decor to make your stay memorable. Our home is unique to the area, it has amazing masonry detail that was lovingly hand done by the original owner. You'll love everything from the cedar plank ceilings to the ornately created giant fireplace. The refreshing and large pool is available exclusively to guests of the property and has a security fence around it for the safety of little ones. The home does feature a spiral staircase that leads up to a bedroom and bathroom. The stairs are steep and are not safely accessible for handicapped, elderly or young children. Guests are welcome to the entirety of the guesthouse, the pool area, and yard. The entrance to the property is through a front driveway gate and there is plenty of parking space directly in front of the home. The entry door features an electronic keypad and you will receive a personalized code along with your check-in instructions. The guests will have the property to themselves but the cohost lives nearby and is available for anything the guests may need. There is a second residence on the property that is available for bookings and offers more space for your family or group. When booking both dwellings, the property will be exclusive to your group only.

Wagon Wheel Ranch Cabin
What a great find! Beautiful place to take a relaxing break. We spent a week here and loved it! Don't expect to get any sunrise pictures in Death Valley unless you get up extra early. With a 7 y/o kid, not possible for us. Having a pool was a huge plus, as the 7 y/o hasn't been swimming during COVID. She could not get enough of it. We found the local bakery (Oh Happy) and a great Italian restaurant (Carmelo's). Must visit if you go.

Paula was a marvelous host, super thoughtful and responsive. The property is immaculate and comes fully stocked with everything. It's like a little oasis in the middle of the desert. Close to town for shopping, great mountain views, AC, and it's decorated beautifully.

Wagon Wheel Ranch Cabin
This cabin was cozy, clean, private, and ideal for our trip to Death Valley. Also, our hosts were wonderful communicators! As two friends traveling together, we each had plenty of space to ourselves, as well as a great kitchen to cook meals in, back deck to read and have appetizers on, and a living room to catch-up and spend our evenings in. For Death Valley, in particular, the drive from Pahrump dropped us right near all of the sites we wanted to visit - Dante's View, Badwater Basin, Artist's Palette. We would definitely stay again if we're ever in the area!
