Discover the unique charm of the Lower Platte North Natural Resources District, where nature meets community across 28 towns and approximately 1,031,000 acres in east-central Nebraska. With a population of around 60,000, the district offers a harmonious blend of urban and rural lifestyles, making it an ideal destination for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. The district features a stunning stretch of the Platte River, which flows through or borders the area for about 70 miles, providing ample opportunities for fishing, kayaking, and wildlife observation. Our mission is to promote the responsible and sustainable use of these precious natural resources, ensuring that both residents and visitors can enjoy the beauty of the land for generations to come. The campground on the west side is a highlight, offering 74 camper pads with electrical hookups, 10 non-electric camper pads, and 44 tent camping sites. A shower house is conveniently located at the southwest end of the RV area. Non-electric sites cater to campers with vehicles 14 feet and under, as well as RVs up to 24 feet. Generators are permitted until 10 p.m., ensuring a comfortable stay. Each tent site is equipped with fire rings and picnic tables, perfect for evening gatherings.
