Welcome to Whispering Prairie Camp, where Montana slows down. Nestled on five peaceful acres just outside Lewistown, our primitive campsites offer wide-open prairie views, breathtaking sunrises and sunsets, and some of the clearest night skies you’ll find. Whether you’re traveling through, exploring Central Montana, or simply looking for a quiet place to unplug, you’ll find plenty of room to breathe here. Wake to birdsong, spend your day exploring nearby trails, lakes, and small-town Montana, then relax beneath a sky full of stars. This is primitive camping—simple, quiet, and close to nature. What to expect: • Spacious private campsites • Tent, van, truck camper, and small RV friendly • Peaceful rural setting • Incredible stargazing • Pet friendly • Easy access from the road Please note: • No hookups • No restroom is currently provided. Guests must be self-contained or bring a portable toilet. • No campfires permitted due to wildfire safety. • Pack in, pack out to help keep the prairie beautiful. The site features a mowed grass camping pad approximately 34’ × 30’, surrounded by open pasture, giving you plenty of space to relax and enjoy the peaceful setting. This site is ideal for tents, rooftop tents, campervans, truck campers, and small to medium RVs (up to 30 feet). There are no hookups, water, restroom facilities, trash service, or fire pit, making it perfect for self-contained campers looking to disconnect and enjoy nature. Watch passing storms roll across the prairie, wake up to mountain views, and experience Montana’s incredible dark skies. Whether you’re passing through Central Montana or looking for a quiet place to unwind, Big Sky Site offers a simple, peaceful camping experience with room to breathe.

No hookups, water, trash service, or fire pit. Please pack in everything you need and pack out all trash. During wet conditions, the grassy access area may become soft, so guests should use their judgment based on their vehicle and weather conditions.
