Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.

Lakeshore campsite, West shore of Island Lake. Approximately 45 miles from Kalispell, 57 miles from Libby. Primitive camping, car, tent, RV, no services. Trail access to lake, for boat access use Public Boat launch, south end of lake. Great location for fishing, hunting, or quiet enjoyment.Monk's Ridge is a large private campsite, with a picnic table and several firepits (Fires allowed unless prohibited by fire danger - bring your own firewood). There is parking space for several vehicles, or RVs, and lots of space for a tent. Trail access to lakeshore. No hookups or bathrooms available. Entrance is a bit steep, but once you are up on the ridge there are several level parking/camping spaces.

Monk's Ridge

It was a beautiful spot to camp at. Clean, quiet, and lots of room to yourself. I was hoping for a lake to swim in, but it was more of a fishing lake. The family loved the fishing!! The picnic table was a bonus. Everyone really liked that spot, including the dogs!
