During warmer months there is a short uphill walk (~250m) to the sites; in winter, you can access the tent via skis or snowshoes up the hill. Bear Canyon Bliss offers an escape from the stresses of everyday life. Nestled near Bozeman, our site offers proximity to town and thrilling outdoor pursuits, while providing a serene retreat to unwind amidst Montana's natural splendor. It's a perfect destination - Our campsite boasts an inspiring view overlooking the city, treating you to breathtaking sunsets that paint the sky with vivid colors; a photographer's dream and a nature lover's paradise - there's nothing quite like a moody Montana sky. The Canvas tent is equipped with a wood-burning stove and a propane heater to keep you cozy and warm on cold evenings or during colder months. A camp kitchen with picnic table is provided for cooking and eating, and a fire pit with grill plate for cooking, roasting marshmallows and sharing stories. A primitive bucket toilet set up with a pop-up privacy tent completes the rustic camping experience. Guests will enjoy the area immediately around the tent to themselves. We do walk our dog on our property frequently and hike up our trails with our daughter, so guests should expect to see us enjoying our beautiful spot as much as we hope you will!

Beautiful but not very private

Aspen Grove Canvas Tent with Views

The site is absolutely beautiful. The tent is nice though the wood burning stove was smoking way too much and we had to only use the propane heater. You can see deers at sunset time and the whole area is so pretty. Very nice views. However, it is a LONG walk, uphill in the grass to get to the camp. No options to drive up if rainy because the owner does not want to mess up their grass. If no 4WD, it may be an issue even in dry weather. We had ALL of our gear, groceries and 2 dogs and the walk up was a nightmare at 6pm in the rain. The host let us borrow a wagon to pull but it had a hard time in the mud. The address does not take you to the parking spot (the host’ house) and we did not received additional directions until we contacted them to let them know we could not find it. It is secluded and private, the perfect spot for a romantic getaway. But the host did hike up several times during our stay, they were directly overlooking the camping spot several times and hung out there for a while with their kid, picking flower and enjoying their beautiful land. That’s great for them, but it did not make us feel like we had the privacy we were looking for. Also the host had approved of our 2 dogs off leash, but walked up with their own dog several times. Putting us on edge because we felt like we had to hold our dogs from running up to them to try and play. Overall, very nice place, but not as private as we wished for a romantic getaway. Still would recommend for the views

Was very relaxing to camp on Laura’s land! The Tenterr she has set up is wicked cool and the heater keeps the tent nice and warm. Would definitely camp here again!
