We had a late arrival, and an early morning, but after we settled in, this was such a dreamy stay! It was an adventure to get there in the dark, and we were careful on the rocky road up to the spot. Our host recommends a higher clearance, which is necessary.
The sky is so big up there! Wow! The stars!!! The tipi was very cozy, and the bed was super comfy. ... And the morning - the coyotes yipping in the distance, a screech owl, the expansive view of the mountains in every direction, sunset colours with the tipi in the foreground... it was truly a one of kind experience.
Our only regrets is not having more time relax and enjoy, or use all the amenities, like the outdoor shower (it has hot water!).
Our host was so wonderfully accommodating as we scrambled to make arrangements. Thank you for everything! And for sharing this beautiful chunk of Montana with us.
(And ps. We loved Anaconda too... such a charmer of a town!)

What a beautiful peaceful place. We felt like we were in the middle of no where. If you are an experienced camper with a vehicle that can handle the roads of an out of the way place, this is an amazing spot. Denise was super helpful and supportive to our stay.

Denise's tipi is well-situated and has a lovely view. We experienced a really spectacular sunset while we had a late dinner. There are some extra perks in the campsite - a picnic table, a firepit, an outhouse, and so cool to sleep in a real bed while still having the 'camping' feel. I would recommend being sure to have camping supplies on hand like water and a stove for cooking & you will have a truly fantastic experience!

Our family really enjoyed getting to stay on Denise's land. The Tipi was comfortable and Denise gave thought to details. There was plenty of firewood to enjoy a romantic fire under the stars. There was a coffee pot, water and coffee with a propane camping stove so we could have coffee in the morning. It was pleasantly quiet and rustic. A real outback experience while still having all the essentials. There even was a heater in the Tipi to warm up while getting dressed. 1st time staying in a Tipi I really could imagine Indians. I definitely would recommend if you enjoy having unique experiences. I only wish we could have stayed longer.

An extraordinarily beautiful spot! Both the cabin and the teepee provide an amazing escape from the ordinary. The views are majestic. The trees and the air so refreshing and beautiful. We had a fantastic three-day stay.

A cozy cabin that reminded me of Adirondack Mornings but in Montana! Kerosene and Propane lights galore with Snow covered mountains!

If you’re looking to camp on top of a Montana mountain like the tv show Yellowstone, then this hip camp is for you. The tipi sits a little downhill from the cabin, but you still get amazing views from the campsite as a whole. Be warned you will need a high clearance vehicle with 4-wheel or all-wheel drive to get to the site. Overall an incredible experience.

The Tipi at 4D Ranch
What a wonderful spot to camp at with gorgeous views and privacy. Denise has the place well appointed with thoughtful extras in the tipee. 2 nights , 2 adults and 2 kids in our group. Definitely need a vehicle with high clearance. I drive a Highlander and there were a few minor scrapes to the bottom of the car on the way in/out.

My fiancé and I stayed here after playing golf in Anaconda and we were so glad we stumbled upon it while looking for a place to stay overnight! The tent was perfect, enough space for us and our 2 dogs, quiet, and the views were amazing. We even built a little fire and enjoyed the stars at night. The sunrise was great waking up to the next day as well. Would stay here again!

We loved staying on Denise’s land! The tipi was cute, cozy, and very comfortable, just what we need after a long day of driving. She even made sure there was a little heater for us when we got there. We arrived after dark and had no problem finding it with Denise’s directions. The only issue was our 2WD car couldn’t make it all the way up the hill, but thats on us for not reading the 4WD recommendation in the description. Everything worked out and the stars were AMAZING. We wish we could’ve stayed longer, but we did catch a gorgeous sunrise on our way out and are grateful for our time spent at Denise’s land.

This place is amazing. Pics don’t do it justice. We stayed in the tipi. We were running very late and arrived after 10 pm lol. Complete darkness. The directions got us there! If you’re looking for stars- this is the place! Comfy bed in the tipi made for a fun night.
Next morning we were treated to the most amazing sunrise ever. Seriously. You think you’ve seen a sunrise? Nope. Not till you see one here.

View was great, tipi was very comfortable and a really neat place to stay. Roads were VERY rough getting to the site. There wasn't any water available that I could find, but we packed in plenty of our own. No cell service whatsoever and we were alone which was very nice.

Not quite what we had expected from the photos and description. We were surprised that there was a rental cabin less than 25 meters from the tipi site. Fortunately the folks in the cabin were alright. Nice views. The promised shower was not in place during our stay although we can see it is in the works. Toilet is a porta-potty shared with the cabin. The spring water is not on the property. You have to drive out of the property and down the road a bit. We were there in a heat wave and there is really no shade available but overall the experience was unique.

We enjoyed this sight a lot. The tepee is an authentic experience. The view is grade a. Perfect place to literally camp on top of a Montana mountain. While there is a camper on the property we had the entire 30 ac to ourselves.
