Primitive Camping Van/vehicle Camping Small Trailers Glamping Bike Trails, Hiking, creek sit-in' on site! Best of the midwest biking, hiking, Ozark Trail, rock climbing Elephant Rocks Park, Johnson Shut-ins and more swimming holes nearby! Wood for sale on site, $5 per bundle, Fire starters also available. Ask us about our "Really Good At Camping" merchandise. We have shirts, mugs & wine tumblers! *Cash Only* at this time. We Have free stickers! *For camp site locations please refer to our map in the campsite listing photos. We are located just west of the Ironton Water Works Plant and the Shepherd Mountain Lake dam. Turn right after the dam, drive through Shepherd Mountain Lake Park. If our "campground guests only" gate if it is closed, and please close gate behind you. Thank you! No Hook Ups No swimming in the lake and no outside boats, but we have boats for campers to use free of charge! General Store and restroom facilities/showers coming soon!

Old Country

Tent camping site was 5 stars.

The site was really laid out well. The fire ring was created by someone who uses them and the solar lights were a nice touch. I wish I could have used my yak in the lake. That was a bummer.

Superbloom

Suuuuper Nice

Absolutely loved our stay at Superbloom. It was so nice to arrive and be able to relax. The tent is roomy and well furnished. The site is beautiful and far enough away from other campsites to feel private without feeling isolated. Our host was very kind and helpful. Just a perfect experience.

Yin-Yang

Perfect camping trip!

We loved our stay at Arcadia Valley Outdoors! The grounds were well kept, creative, and welcoming. Our kiddo loved to play on the playground while we were setting up dinner or a fire for the evening. The owner helped us set up the wood fire hot tub and sauna, which were amazing during the rainy day we had during our stay! Super close to a number of gorgeous outdoor activities, and even has kayak and paddle boards for use on site. Couldn't recommend this place more! We will definitely be back!

Bedrock

Bedrock- great experience!

We had a wonderful time camping at the Arcadia Valley outdoors site. We stayed at Bedrock, which was the farthest site away, and very private. In fact, we didn’t see or hear another soul the entire time we were there. We loved the following features about Bedrock: -The solar lights that came on at dark, which were very subtle and beautiful. -The “countertop” that we used for food prep of our campfire dinner. -The permanent two person tent on the flatbed truck, which had a comfy mattress. Our kids enjoyed playing in this, although they didn’t sleep in it. -The proximity of the composting toilet, which was right next to the site. It did not even smell bad. We also enjoyed borrowing kayaks the next morning, and paddling around on the quiet, pristine lake. We also tried out the hot tub (very nice, although more of a warm-tub) and the camp shower (they provide peppermint oil body wash). Overall a great experience with lots of cool features!

Dogg House

This site was so much fun. We had an absolute blast for our last night of vacation. We enjoyed the hot tub and the secluded nature of our site. Despite it being in the middle. We stayed at Dogg House and it was such a perfect little site for the two of us. The dog had a great time as well. We would love to come back for an extended stay at some point so we can take advantage of all of the fun things this campground offers. We can't wait to come back!

Yin-Yang

Camping + Kayaking!

We had a great time tent camping here in AVO! First, the yin yang campsite is perfect for our 4-person tent and I thought there won’t be a picnic table but there is! The outhouse is also clean and is not smelly. I like the location of our site cuz it’s nearest to the outhouse, water and lake. We had a great time kayaking.
