Rich in history, our property dates back to the 1700s, where Civil War soldiers once camped in the nearby fields. The Nanticoke Steamboat, which operated from our wharf, transported people and goods to Baltimore and beyond. Legend has it that the infamous pirate Bluebeard navigated the waters of the Nanticoke River, while the Nanticoke Indians thrived along its banks, nurturing their families and heritage.
