Smuggler’s Den stands out as a unique family campground nestled in the heart of nature, offering a blend of wooded privacy and open, shaded sites. With 100 campsites available, we cater to a variety of camping preferences, including tent and pop-up sites with or without hookups, as well as full hookup options suitable for large pop-ups and RVs up to 45 feet. Our campground is ideally located on the “quiet side” of Mount Desert Island, established in 1969 off Route 102, just north of Southwest Harbor. Guests can enjoy direct access to over 25 miles of hiking trails within Acadia National Park, along with nearby fire roads like Lurvey Springs Road. In addition to our natural surroundings, we offer a heated swimming pool, complimentary hot showers, advanced WiFi, and four acres of recreational fields for family fun. As a family-owned and operated campground, the fourth generation of Worcesters is dedicated to providing exceptional service and creating unforgettable camping experiences. We warmly invite you and your family, including your pets, to join us this camping season!
