Sloat Farm
A Beautiful Stay, Highly Recommend!
Camping at Sloat Farm to view the solar eclipse was such a gift! Instead of being crammed in an overcrowded park, we were able to spread out among our fellow campers and enjoy the beauty the land had to offer. We enjoyed a leisurely stroll of the property, a cozy campfire with our neighbor campers, and witnessed the awe of the eclipse as a little community. What a beautiful place to be and our hosts, Kristin and family, were so welcoming and accommodating. Thank you for hosting and giving us special memories to cherish forever!

A great two nights at SLOAT FARM
What gracious hosts!!! Kristen walked down to the end of driveway where I sat parked with my Teardrop trailer in some confusion after driving 950 miles for the very awesome TOTAL ECLIPSE. Arthur(dad) lead me up the easy dirt road with his plow attached, clearing the light snow and showing me the way to the top of a little knoll. And then he backed up my rig for me onto a perfect concrete slab.!!!! First class service! And an awesome gentleman. A wonderful family. He brought up fire rings and wood for us too. The clear view from the large field and campsite was perfect for viewing the sky and eclipse. It was SOO perfect that I am thinking of returning next year for another eclipse like northern Maine has!!! Really incredible natural wonder. Gary

Great HC
This is exactly what HC should be! Best spot for eclipse watching and for $10, they had camp wood and 1/2d fresh duck eggs! SO much live to Aroostock County….I’ll return asap. Great place to park or pitch a tent.

Sloat Farm
We camped at Sloat Farm for the eclipse (amazing). I loved the wide open fields and the fact that you could see the sunrise and the sunset. It's out in the country, but close to downtown Houlton, where you can visit restaurants and shops. Kristen was responsive and helpful.
