Anglers Delight Tent Site
This campsite was amazing and would highly recommend staying!
I booked the Angler's Delight campsite for a week long camping/hiking trip with a bunch of first time campers. The campsite could not have been better suited for such a trip. The campsite was nestled inside a small tree grove inbetween a field of wildflowers and a beautiful brook. At night, the field and brook filled up with fireflies. There were 7 of us in our group, and we were worried that the space would be too cramped for all of us for the entire week. However, the campsite had enough space for us to pitch a 6 person, 4 person, and 2 one person tents, so we were able to spread out a bit at night. We were likewise free to wade through the brook and walk around the property—so our group had plenty of room to spread out on days when we wanted a bit of privacy.
The location was perfectly inbetween our two primary destinations: about a 45 min drive to Acadia and a 2hr drive to Baxter State Park. There is a town in etween the campsite and Acadia NP, so getting cooking provisions daily was very straightforward.
The hosts themselves reply very quickly and were incredibly nice and helpful. The porta potty ran out of toilet paper one morning and they restocked it almost immediately. They likewise cleared a small space in the middle of the flower field for us to set up our telescope and star gaze. The hosts could not have been more attentive.

Great location! Close to town if you need supplies. Also only 45 minutes to Acadia National Park. All amenities were as advertised. Host was very communicative. Yurt was comfy and is pet friendly. They have a wagon you can pull to bring stuff from your car to your site. My wife and I would happily stay here again. Thank you!!

Linda is an attentive host. She greated us when we arrived, gave us a run down of the property amenties, where the cabin was, and provided a cart for us to lug our baggage to and from the cabin!
The lack of road noise, and minimal exposure to firework booms was perfect this weekend. Exactly what I was hoping for with an out of the way stay!
With such a rustic design, it gets pretty warm during the day inside, so spending time in the shade, by the brook, or at a near by lake is recommened during the hot hours by my partner and I. However, there are plenty of windows and a good draft through the doors to cool it off before the night!
There also was quite a few cracks and crannies for varuious bugs and wasps to can make their way in to the living space, but there are precautionary measures provided, and im positive Linda would have assisted if we felt unsafe!
Thank you for a weekend away from the city!

This rustic camp was exactly what we wanted: great site next to a beautiful brook, lots of space between the other sites, large, clean tent with two air beds! There was also a picnic table, outdoor chairs, and a fire pit with cooking grate. We were about a half hour from Acadia, and explored lots of fun local places along the road to the coast. I would definitely recommend this site. (Be sure to read the specifics on the site, Linda gives an accurate description of services available, etc.)

This site was so refreshing ! Even with a day of rain the bell tent stayed dry! Cozy beds and bedding when we showed up ! The brook was beautiful and my daughter had a blast fishing. Happy we brought a wagon to get our things to the tent (although there was a wagon available but others already had it). The bathroom was a bit of a walk at night but it was well worth the peace and quiet for a few nights !

This tent camp set-up is great. Highly recommend.
Comfortable beds and setup in the tent, lighting and water and some fire wood was supplied to go along with 2 great fire pit options at our (Belle Brook) site. Porta potty on site.
We spent 3 nights and the location is excellent for accessing Acadia, Schoodic, the town of Ellsworth and many other gems of this part of the ME coast. Many thanks to the host!

I loved this spot! It was a short walk from the parking area, through the edge of a field, over a small bridge across a little creek, to the tent site next to a larger stream. There was a fire pit, chairs, and picnic table at the camp site, and of course the bell tent! Linda is a wonderful host and provided supplies like a lamp, fire starting fluid, and a jug of water at the site. The bell tent is furnished and Linda gave me extra blankets and sheets for the mattress, and gave me a head lamp when she noticed I did not have a flashlight on me. Absolutely would recommend!
It rained a lot overnight while I was there. The tent was fine throughout the night! The parking area did have a large puddle in the morning, but the ground is solid so there was no mud.

I had an amazing two-night stay at this charming, storybook cabin. It's just as described—peaceful, surrounded by beautiful trees and a rushing brook, and perfectly located near Acadia National Park. The short walk through the field added to the charm, and the rustic, off-grid experience with no electricity or plumbing made it a perfect nature retreat. The lofted bed was cozy, and evenings by the firepit under the stars were unforgettable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet escape close to nature!

Graham Cracker Cabin, Rustic stay!
Linda and her husband are wonderful attentive hosts. Thinking of the little things to keep your stay as relaxing as possible. Slight issue with wasps sneaking in through cracks looking to winter from cooler season coming. They took care of them right away. Beautifully clean linens and extra blankets were great for the quick drop of temperatures at night. Other campsites through the woods but the cabin feels very private in the beautiful field of wildflowers. 40 minutes to Acadia and bar harbor which was breathtaking. Beautiful location.

The most accommodating Hipcamp we’ve been to! Linda and her husband are so kind, with offers to haul our belongings to the sight and letting us borrow their blow torch to get our fire going. Would highly recommend staying here!

We arrived in the middle of the night after a very long drive. Linda’s directions were perfect. We were able to find our spot as easily as possible in the dark. Linda was also kind enough to leave us some water and a charcoal grill at our site. The stars the first night we were there were absolutely amazing. Our spot was perfect and exactly as described. Quiet and beautiful. The s’mores kits were adorable. We had a great stay and I highly recommend.

Linda was a great host and we had a nice time. The rustic cabin was charming and having a gas grill to cook and a fire pit doqn by the water made it a perfect getaway. Having a woofstove to take the edge off the cool fall evenings was a bonus!

Our stay at the saw mill slumber was wonderful! Linda was so accommodating with the wagon, water jug, and extra little things that made the stay more comfortable. I suggest bringing water shoe for the river. The rocks were a little sharp but it was very refreshing.

This sweet cabin was exactly what we were looking for! It was rustic, thoughtfully appointed with bedding, fresh water. It was very peaceful and quiet. We were lucky enough to have spectacular thunderstorm pass over us in the middle of the night which I truly enjoyed.
Bathing in the stream behind our cabin was quite special to me as were the beautiful wildflower meadows we were surrounded by. My favorite part about our stay was visiting with the geese, ducks and turkey on the property. They stayed close to the main residence but were eager to snack on bread when we left.

This place was the perfect respite in the middle of a week of heavy camping. We loved swimming in the creek behind the house and the bed in the loft was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. The cabin was cute and private and the hosts were friendly and responsive.

We came here late on a not planned stay lately booked. Linda was really nice, helping us out with stuff. Since it was dark we diidn't see the site for real til the next morning. We saw the big flowerly land and the great cabin - under the apple tree.... And the funny ducks, goose and turkey! Would love to come again one day!

The cabin was exactly as described. It was perfectly quaint, very private and quiet. Our primary goal of the trip was to spend as much time at Acadia National Park and we accomplished that goal. That said, the brook was very nice and we checked it out a bit, but did not really utilize it to fish or otherwise. A great bonus feature, however! We stayed the first weekend in August, so temperatures were good. As I would expect, the cabin was hot during the day and into the late afternoon, but cooled off eventually throughout the evening. For those that have experienced rustic cabins, this fit the needs, and then some. The drive to Acadia was easy going and many places to stop along the way for necessities, etc. We left on average around 7 AM for our adventures which got us to Acadia around 8 o’clock for parking, which worked out perfectly for our family! Linda was very kind and communicated efficiently, as I had a few last-minute questions prior to leaving for our trip. Her turkey, chickens, and ducks are very, very cool as well!

Perfect spot right next to the river, and the yurt is very spacious! The bathroom and sink area is very clean as well. No complaints from two other people or myself! We also couldn’t get enough of the Turkey, geese, ducks, and chickens, they were the best!

The place was magical! The tent was spacious, comfortable, and pretty. The grounds were private, beautiful and clean. We loved cooking and sleeping right on the river. My 6 year old son caught a fish on his first cast! We are definitely coming back. Best place we have ever camped.
