This northeast Iowa property has been family owned since 1884. Originally, it was a dairy farm with corn and hay for crops. In 2006, with the desire to return the land to itself, the 186 acres were converted into 90 acres of native prairie grasses and 70 acres of hardwood trees. Pigs, heirloom turkeys, and chickens are raised on the farmstead for family consumption along with a large garden of heirloom vegetables.
