Cabin - sleeps 4 - with AC/Heat & Mini Fridge and hydrant water outside. No pets inside cabin. OR camp spot with 30 amp electric/hydrant water. If you're interested in using cabin & 30 amp service for camper, contact us before booking. Additional fee applies. There are covered areas you can take shelter under in case of poor weather. Bathroom consists of "outhouse." TP provided. No WiFi. Fish CATCH & RELEASE only!!!! Surveillance is now in place to aid in the prosecution situations. Two picnic tables are included, 1 plastic serving table and 6 chairs to sit in. One campfire ring (please do not burn trash/cig butts in rings) with grate to cook on. Firewood $6 per bundle paypable on Ven mo. Do not cut any of my trees down or go foraging - backside of pond is a wetland and private & protected property. Several docks around the pond to fish from - use at your own risk. There are no dedicated "walking trails," but you can walk around the backside of the one pond (we keep it mowed) and wander down the long lane. No official "cooking area" - bring a grill, cooking stove or cook over the fire. Please do not cook under any roof, near cabin or on plastic table. Please pack all your trash out. We don't have trash pick up here. All dog/animals feces can be flung in the field/tall grass! Lots of big catfish, bass & bluegill - see our F B page for videos of the fish being fed! If you're done fishing for the night or don't fish, bags of fish food are available for $1! It's fun to watch them! All food is stored in containers in shack. You accept full responsibility for any bodily injury arising from swimming, camping, hiking and fishing and hold owner harmless. You understand there are potential dangers that from swimming, camping, hiking and fishing may present to children who are not carefully supervised, as well as the danger to any person swimming, camping, hiking or fishing if a person has health risks, or if a person swims, camps, hikes or fishes while intoxicated or using any kind of drugs or medication, or while pregnant. You agree to be fully and solely responsible for any accidents you may incur. You understand the risks discussed above and agree that you will assume all responsibility for yourself and for the consequences of those in your party. The Love Shack Cabin Getaway
We had a quick trip to the Love Shack after a century ride on the Cardinal Greenway trail. The place was wonderful!! Loved the rustic camp feel of the decor. The pond with its fish and frogs kept us company as the Strawberry moon rose over the horizon. Hope to stay there again soon!!!

The Love Shack Cabin Getaway
The love shack is great. The shelter area saved my family and me from having a long, wet weekend. The fishing was great for my husband, who knows s an avid fisherman, and for our daughter who is just starting out. The spot was secluded and private and felt like we were away from people.

The Love Shack Cabin Getaway
My family and I had a lot of fun here. The makeshift shacks and awnings are rustic, but fun and interesting. They gave us shelter from the wind and storms we had during our stay. The catch and release fishing was a lot of fun too...lotsa bluegill and we even caught a good sized catfish. When we weren't fishing, it was fun just to feed the giant yellow and orange goldfish (2ft +), albino catfish, and assorted other fish. The outhouse served it's purpose and the firewood for sale on premise was handy on the cool evenings. We would definitely go back.

The Love Shack Cabin Getaway
This place is truly amazing! Private, peaceful and unique. We loved having the whole place to ourselves to spend quiet time with our family, away from the hustle. The pond was so fun to catch and release fish and we enjoyed taking a stroll through the woods and exploring this beautiful place. Thank you for sharing this slice of heaven with us!

Was seriously exactly what we needed. The pictures do not do the Love Shack justice, it is so beautiful. The dogs loved the pond as did we. Had an eventful day swimming and playing with our dogs and a peaceful evening sitting by the fire. Very private and comfortable. Will 100% be going again!!!

Unique spot right on a pond. Flat spaces all around for good tent camping. The Love Shack building itself actually really helps protect the fire pit area from the wind coming through the farm fields. I would go back!

The directions were easy to follow and we were pleasantly surprised to find a roof to stay under since it was rainy and very windy (there was a wind advisory in effect)! It was fun to explore and exactly the kind of peaceful getaway we were looking for. Appreciated the vault toilet, fire pit, table, comfy chairs, and all the silly signs!

I fell in love with this place as aoon as I pulled up. The Love Shack is super quaint and has a ton of rustic charm. Appreciated all the extras that were provided...tables, chairs, solar lights, fully stocked pond, and grilling racks & utensils. Lots of Instagram worthy photo ops on the property. Easy drive from Indy. Total privacy was definitely a bonus. Sunrise, sunsets, starry night skies were spectacular. Plan on coming back many times!

I fell in love with this quaint little campsite as soon as I pulled up. I loved all the rustic charm the Love Shack had to offer, as well as all the extras that came with it. It had several tables to use, plenty of chairs, grilling racks & utensils, firewood available, a stocked pond to fish, a sweet firepit, solar lights for the shack at night, and LOTS of Instagram worthy photo ops on the property. Privacy was also a bonus, as we had the whole place to ourselves, while all other state park campgrounds were completely full on this beautiful fall weekend. The sunsets and sunrises across the wide open fields surrounding were spectacular, and the night sky offered endless stars. It truly was the perfect weekend getaway. I brought my campervan, another friend brought a truck camper, and we had 2 tent campers as well. This is a primitive site, so no running water or electricity, but you can easily bring that with you. The outhouse was also well maintained, so no worries there. Only 1.5 hr from west Indy, easy drive. Highly recommend this place!

We had an absolute blast at the Love Shack campsite! It was the perfect little getaway for my fiancé and I and our new puppy Murphy. We caught a lot of fish and our pup had the best time exploring! The site was well kept and adorable. Although there is no electric, they have cute lights hung around the site that come on when it gets dark. We brought our own fire wood but they do have some available for purchase there if you forget or don’t have any. We will most definitely be back soon hopefully with some family members next time!

As expected from photos, and reviews posted on social media. Well worth the extra 2 hours off my original route. Well maintained property, quite and private. One word of caution, if you are pulling a 30 foot travel trailer, you better have tight turn around skills. Lol, I was in a pickle there for a minute. All part of the experience. When I go again, I would love to donate some solar lighting, sorry I did not have any with me.

A Cycle Touring Dream Overnight

We loved The Love Shack! It was an overnight stop for us on the Cardinal Greenway Rail Trail just a few miles away. The listing does not do this spot justice. It was just a perfect little oasis. Quiet and secluded. Jessica answered all my questions and provided a binder with everything on the place, including its history. Stunning place to catch the sunrise and sunset. Lots of flat spots to choose from for your tent. The outhouse is just fine. I also appreciated the little walking trails. Only one caution: be sure to bring plenty of drinking water. Everything else was just great!

What a fantastic spot to camp! You get the place all to yourself so it’s fun to just relax and look around and explore! The lights around the love shack gives it another added touch. As well as being able to feed the fish! We will definitely be back!

The site was awesome and clean (including the privy). Everything you need is there ready to go. We had an awesome evening under the stars and enjoyed relaxing by the water. We will be back for sure.

The spot was adorable and overall very peaceful! Lots of spots to pitch a tent, we loved feeding the fish, cooking over the fire, and it felt very private! The only thing we struggled with was it being pretty noisy Saturday night on the roads/properties surrounding us. There were gun shots and drag racing from about 2-4am (which I’m sure was just people having some Saturday night fun) but felt a bit unsettling and kept us from sleeping. Aside from that disturbance we had a great getaway weekend.

The Love Shack Cabin Getaway
Although we only stayed for one night, the four of us (plus a dog) had an amazing time here. It was truly beyond our expectations especially the space and the peace. Everything felt magical: campfire nachos by the fire, cotton candy sunset, misty morning, and all the fishes we had fun catching and releasing the entire time. It goes without saying that we left dreaming to return again!

The Love Shack Cabin Getaway
The Love Shack is safely nestled into Indiana farmland about 15-20 minutes from I-70. The site is an inviting, quaint spot next to a small, very active pond. The decor is fun and facilitates relaxation. Chairs, fishing nets, cooking utensils, and even a bottle opener among other useful tools are conveniently kept on-site for use. My favorite part was probably the electric show the lightning bugs put on for us in the trees. The only con is that the options for hammocks are very thin. The most conceivable spots are non-starters due to bugs when the temperature is up. I can't wait to get back to that funky old shack way back in the middle of a field..

The Love Shack was great. I loved the birds and the frogs- pitched my tent right at pond's edge. I had great weather with star gazing at night. Private camping at its best!

The Love shack was a perfect little getaway. Super easy to get to and had great accommodations. It was great to have the extra tools and tables provided at the camp. The fishing was also great. We caught maybe a dozen catfish and Bluegill. This would be a great place to take your dogs or just a nice little weekend getaway.

Absolutely gorgeous
The Love Shack Cabin Getaway
This was an absolutely amazing camp ground. The shack is adorable and we loved the fact that our dogs had space to roam. The trees that night where lit up with lightning bugs and that made it infinitely more beautiful. Wish we could have stayed longer.

We loved staying at this location! It was definitely a unique and rustic vibe and we totally LOVED that. We enjoyed spending time looking at all of the decor and vintage items that the hosts have collected-you can tell that they have put a lot of time into making this place perfect! We really loved how private it was and how it felt like we had the area all to ourselves for miles and miles, just by how it was set up. We also enjoyed walking around the pond and seeing all the property had to offer. We didn't end up fishing, but that was definitely a nice activity to offer that we would love to use in the future if we stay again! :)

The Love Shack Cabin Getaway
This is a great spot for a quick weekend escape from the city. The shack itself is super cute and the surrounding farmland is so peaceful and serene. We loved hearing the sounds of nature, the stars at night, and letting our two dogs freely explore the pond and surround areas. We will absolutely be back - next time when it’s warmer!
