The property is very well maintained. It is a lovely property and Earl and Lisa were very responsive checking in on me to be sure I had firewood and delivering my eggs. It was nice having a hot shower and the bathroom was squeaky clean. I would definitely recommend this Hip Camp.

This site was exactly what we were looking for. Beautiful, quiet, clean, and great hosts. Even though we stayed during a very busy time for the hosts, Lisa still made time to meet us and fill us in on the big local event going on. We enjoyed the event and loved our stay!

Hidden Gem in Rural Indiana

Such a wonderful camping paradise! Earl & Lisa have a gorgeous property and obviously enjoy sharing it with others. Spacious yet private sites! All of the necessities as well as many extras! The bathhouse is perfect for car and tent campers and the firewood and eggs make for a great breakfast over the open fire. This is a hidden gem that I want to tell everyone about yet want to keep to myself! Just perfect! I will be back!!

Great campsite! Everything was clean and it was nice to have a bathhouse so close. We had a great time catching fish at the pond. Site 4 was nice and shady for the hot days and the trees provided nice coverage during the rain. We will be back.

Very cool little campground. You can tell they have put some work into making a beautiful space. There is a pond in the center with lots of ducks, geese, cranes, etc. they also have a shower house with flush toilets, shower, sink for dishes, and trash. They even have some nice walking trails. Sites were pretty private and even if the place was full you would still have more privacy than most state parks. There is definitely some highway noise since they are so close to 30 but if you don’t mind that I would definitely recommend staying here!

Clean, Private, Great Stargazing

I had a great experience at Earl and Lisa’s camp! They were very quickly communicative and Lisa waited to show me to my campsite, despite me booking late at night. The camping areas were very well maintained and the bathroom was equally clean! The trails through the wooded areas were perfect to walk off a long drive and run some of my dogs energy off. Also, if you’re someone who enjoys stargazing, this is a great place for it!

Was a wonderful place to rest our weary bodies after 12 days on road. Last stop before home. Earl and Lisa's place is wonderful. Park like setting with duck pond, stacks of wood waiting for us, and cute out house with shower and toilet. We were only ones there due to end of season and had full hook up site and it was perfect. Little road nose but really didn't really bother us.

Hideaway Haven

We had a wonderful experience. Both Lisa and Earl were friendly, responsive, and accommodating. The bathroom/shower house was clean and stocked. The outdoor sink was helpful for washing hands and doing dishes. We stayed at site #6, which offered just enough privacy. The grounds were well maintained, and we loved seeing all of the bumblebees and hummingbirds. They even offered some initial complementary firewood and fire pits have grates so that you can cook on them. We are hoping to return soon before the season ends, otherwise we definitely plan to be back next year! Thank you, Earl and Lisa, for such great hospitality, and making our camping trip so comfortable!

Calmer than a corporate campsite

Lovely little campsite in a park like setting with duck pond and deer. Located very close to US 30 yet reasonably quiet. Hosts are accommodating and helpful. Stayed at the full hookups site. Host mentioned more hookup sites becoming available soon. Sites have ample space between them which is welcome.

Peaceful Labor Day Weekend Getaway

We absolutely loved our stay. Earl and Lisa are very sociable and want to guarantee that you have what you need while also having a great stay. They provide you a lovely stack of wood, a food grate to cook your food on, stocked pond for catch and release fishing, games, food for feeding the fish and ducks and a bathhouse. Glow sticks and popsicles were provided during our stay which brings out the kid in even us adults. There is a bit of road noise…but it’s too enjoyable out there to complain about that.

Hideaway Haven

My wife and I stayed at Sleek Acres (Lisa & Earl) over Labor Day weekend. We loved the property: the six sites were spaced comfortably apart and it was just a minute long walk directly to the toilet and shower. They were very thoughtful to install an outdoor sink for dish cleanup, as well. They also have lovely pond with ducks, an impressive blue heron, a small beach area with chairs, and the pond is stocked with fish. Walking on a small set of nature trails was a welcome escape from lounging at camp and a way to stretch our legs and have yet another experience without having to leave the property. The owners raise chickens and truly ‘farm fresh eggs’ are available for a very reasonable price. This was very welcome for us city dwellers who are now paying close to $10 for a dozen pasture raised eggs. We chose site #6 as its tucked away and offers a little more privacy but all sites are far enough apart that you’re not right on top of your neighbors. Lastly, Lisa & Earl made our experience quite wonderful. They are warm, genuine, and welcoming and made us feel at home. They came by in their cute electric car to see how we were doing, see if we needed anything, and then went on to clean and restock the bathroom. Their personal attention was wonderful and their quality of being ‘hosts’ is stellar. We will be back!

Sarah and Earl are Great! They gave my grandchildren glow sticks the first night and then popsicles the next day. They come around and talk to you to make sure that everything is going well and ask if you need anything. We loved spending Labor Day weekend there! They even got to know our two dogs lol.

Thanks Earl & Lisa, they are lovely and kind couple. The campsite is wonderful and peaceful. We did enjoy the campfire, at first we couldn't fire up the woods, but just a message, Earl & Lisa came in a minute and helped us to set up the fire. Wonderful host.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tent camping experience at Sleek Acres. The hosts were warm and welcoming, providing fresh eggs and charcoal for minimal extra cost. The sight was large with plenty of room for our 2 tents and vehicle, also it was nice they had a picnic table next to the fire pit. Our 2 year old son enjoyed feeding the ducks by the pond and playing with the lawn games provided on site! 10/10 would recommend! (We loved site #5)

Sleek Acres is a great getaway, and we stayed there while driving to and from the Dunes. After seeing how crowded the Dunes campsites were, we were very glad to have such a nice, private little campsite. They really maintain their campsites well, and the sites are spacious. There is a little road noise, but the birds, crickets and frogs drown it out. If you like eggs, we got a dozen, and they were fresh and delicious! We would easily stay there again, without a doubt.

This place is in the centeral time zone. These guys thought of everything! There is wifi, i didn't try to use it. If your like me and prefer old time camping. Where your surrounded by trees and able to totally seclude your self by putting your vehicle in just the rt spot, site 1 is for you. Its also big enough where you could have a few tents. If you want that same thing & have a group, but but still want some privacy between tents, spot 3 is your choice. Spot 2 as a couple of little "inlets" where you could set your tent a little out of sight. It's a good size spot its kind if like alot deeper version of a "pull through" in a public campground. The electric site is out in the open on the field. Its by the outhouse, which as a modern toilet and shower. Site 4&6 are out in the field as well. Site 5 has a walk through spot were one can put a tent out of site, but the firepit is out towards the field more. So they have something that fits what anyone would like. We had site 1 the sky was dark enough from the trees, that if 1 knew what to look for could very faintly see the milky way arm over head. The field has a glow from town on its horizon, but 1 can still see alot upward. I wanted to go camping for the metor shower and was not disappointed! I plan on going back sometime wen its not so muggy, when I want to go camping but don't want to travel to far walking paths, were also nice and woodsy.

Great first outing on Hipcamp! Lisa met me and showed me to the site, a private tree-lined clearing. Shower, flush toilet, and outdoor sink were clean and a short walk away. Plus a duck pond! Would stay again!

This site is pretty cool compared to others I have camped. They have a nice, clean bathhouse with a flush toilet and hot shower. The grounds are well maintained and my tent site was freshly mowed, which I like. There is an interesting pond with ducks to feed. The hosts, Earl and Lisa could not have been nicer, literally. They are friendly and talkative without being over the top. They provided some extra perks at no charge like fire kindling and garden tomatoes. They offered a sheltered alternative one night when the weather was terrible. It is a relatively short drive from their campsite to the Indiana Dunes National Park. The park has a ton of great trails for hikers. Great Value!

Excellent site with fantastic hosts! They were very accommodating, giving us fresh tomatoes and cucumbers from their garden and even setting up their fifth wheel for us to wait out a storm. We are so grateful and will definitely be coming back :)

can't say enough good about this amazing place!! quiet,secluded, beautifully landscaped, there's a small pond full of fish that you can feed, hosts supply plenty of feed!! there's ducks to watch as well. they offer a very nice shower house to use as well. the hosts are absolutely the nicest! they dropped off fresh cucumbers and cherry tomatoes from their garden. ran into a small problem with my rig and they were more than willing to pitch in and lend a hand. 100% recommend!! 5 stars!!
