We had a fantastic weekend at this campground — it truly has everything you need for an easy, comfortable outdoor escape. The site is thoughtfully equipped: a gas grill with utensils, a fire pit for cozy evenings, an outdoor shower, and a camping toilet. All the basics and then some are taken care of, which made our trip smooth and relaxing.
The big plus was the screened tent and the 8- to 10-person tent that were already set up for us. It was a huge convenience to arrive and dive straight into the fun without spending hours on setup. We also loved having the whole place to ourselves, which gave us a private, peaceful vibe throughout the weekend.
With its proximity to Chicago, it’s an incredibly easy weekend escape — a quick drive and you’re back to nature without straying far from the city. We will definitely be back.

We loved camping here! It was a beautiful secluded site. We particularly loved the fountain and all the goodies that were left for us to utilize for fire making, cleaning, and activities!

Went here with my family and we all loved it. Directions for finding the place, parking, and maintaining the camp were very clear. Site was well kept. We went for labor day weekend and were worried about bugs, but there were hardly any. The grass was mowed very well, and I'm sure the fountain in the pond helped with the bugs too. We came prepared and didn't use much of Nora and Simons gear, but they did have a lot of gear ready. The chairs, firewood, and lights were a nice touch. Loved how private it was too.

This was the absolute cutest campsite with basically everything you could ask for. Clean, private, woodsy, spacious ,easy to find, and a 12 minute drive to the beach. My only regret is not coming a day early to enjoy more time there. I look forward to returning next year!

Beautiful, spacious site and the hosts have thought of everything to facilitate camping. Unfortunately, the highway is very loud - something to consider if that's an issue for you.

Highlyyyyy recommend this campsite. It's was secluded, quiet and had everything you could need for camping. When they say just bring a tent and your food they mean it. So for those who don't have camping gear but want to camp this is the place. The pond fountain gave me the perfect white noise to get a great night's sleep. Fire wood was available for purchase right at the site but you can go find some if you prefer. We are already planning our next visit but next time we will bring the kids.

Very beautiful and secluded, private spot with plenty of room. Very well equipped with all the utensils you might need for camping!
Owners were promptly responding to messages. Although it was a last minute booking, it was a breeze!

This site is really really great for experienced campers. Has everything you really need, camp toilet is not my fav though but hey if you’re used to pooping in the woods it’s better than that! It’s very private which is so nice, and the pond and fountain are adorable! They provide so much cooking/other equipment too that is very helpful. At night it does get extremely buggy, so bring plenty of heavy duty bug spray. Nora and Simon are very responsive hosts! Would definitely recommend for more experienced campers, my husband and I will always remember camping together for the first time here for our 5 year wedding anniversary!

There is truly nothing more you could ever want out of camping experience. Private, fully set-up, minutes from a fun city (Michigan City), right by the border of Michigan.
Had a ton of firewood and my girlfriend and I both agreed that this was out best Hipcamp to date.

The site was absolutely beautiful and very peaceful. Was able to check off an item from the wife's bucket list. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet and peaceful getaway.

Everything was so quaint & perfect here! The fact that they have kitchen supplies & a cleaning station next to the privy was amazing! Nora was so helpful!! The yurt was loaded with blankets & comfort at each turn! We love it here and will def use it again when we go to Indiana!

Nora and Simon's property is just lovely. The yurt is set up in a private location, and the ample tree coverage makes it feel pretty secluded. They took great care with soft lighting - there's enough light to see where you're going, but not so much that it detracts from the vibe. The porta potty was very well taken care of, no yuck factor at all. I loved listening to the fountain in the pond & the birds, bugs, and frogs as I settled in for the night. Everything was clean and fresh. Touches like lanterns and battery operated handheld fans are appreciated! The bedding was cozy, and I slept pretty well despite being able to feel the support slats whenever I tried to sleep on my side.
The only even remotely negative things I noticed were the noise from Interstate 94 traffic and occasional airplanes flying overhead, and the mosquitoes. (But hey, it's June in the Midwest and the yurt is by a pond... I was prepared for bugs!) The nature noises and fountain drowned out a lot of the "outside world" noise.
Overall, I'm bummed I only had one very short night to spend here! I hope to come back some day.

The glamping test was as beautiful as the pics! Fire pit, chairs, tiki lights and grill were all great amenities and we appreciated the secluded side. Toliet was pristine!

We loved our stay at Nora & Simon’s property! They answered all of my questions quickly and gave us lots of helpful tips for the area! When we arrived we were met with a fully stocked yurt and camp site. The yurt was decorated beautifully and the property was gorgeous.
Falling asleep to the frogs by the pond was so nice!

Secluded Camp at Farm in the Woods
Our family had an amazing time Glamping on Nora & Simon’s property. Simon was gracious and introduced us to their animals they have rescued. All in all it was such a cool experience. Our kiddos continue to talk about Jack the miniature horse who wandered onto our site for a visit. :)

Awesome secluded camp site. I am hesitant to write a review because I want to keep this place a secret. The hosts were helpful and friendly. The grill worked great. And it was nice to have firewood provided! Loved the tent too!

Camping in this yurt made everything SO MUCH EASIER! The communication with the hosts was very easy, they were quite responsive; checked in on us when we arrived and ensured we had all we needed. The location ensures privacy, and the yurt is large enough to hold everyone.
The port-a-potty was extremely clean, there was running water from a hose, and the campfire area had a picnic table and tables for meal prep. The grill was quite clean and easy to use. The basics for cooking were provided, pot, skillet, 1 knife, cutting board.
Jack the mini horse came by for a visit ! We wished we had time to visit the rest of the animals, but with our schedule we didn’t but will surely see them next time if the hosts are around.
We will absolutely be booking again and are so grateful for our experience. Truly wonderful and we have found our favorite campsite. Staying in a beautiful spacious tent in a beautiful area was just superb!
Oh it rained our first night, a big thunderstorm, and we weren’t wet at all. Not a drop came in.

Secluded Camp at Farm in the Woods
I glamped with my Daughters at Nora's farm and it was a great experience. The tent was roomy and comfy. Nora set us up with an extra air mattress to accommodate us. The campground is beautiful...full of butterflies. At night the bullfrogs sang us to sleep. Nora also visit the animals that she rescues. All very well cared for and as cute as can be. I would highly recommend Nora's Glamping site.

I wish we had planned to stay more than 1 night, we didn't get a chance to take advantage of the grills. This would be a great spot to come with a family or group of friends.
