This was a first for both of us...winter camping...and mother nature gave us quite the run for the money with temps dropping from 69 when I arrived to 12 degrees by morning with thunderstrorms and 50-60 mile winds. Jeremy was so gracious and helpful...perservering thru 3 dying generators and making sure I was safe and warm. I'm looking forward to seeing the place next summer when it's all green and with weather that allows exploring! Lol.

This place is wonderful! The host and his family are friendly, attentive and work very very hard! Even the little girl was running around making sure everyone was takin care of! Great place! I felt safe and welcome. It’s very clean. Even the porta pot is clean! Highly recommended for anyone wanting a getaway! It’s well worth it! I can’t say enough about it. I’ve been to a lot of campgrounds and airbnbs and this one is one of the best

I stayed in their camper, they greeted me as soon as I arrived to the property. Jeremy took me on a tour of the campground and there’s something for everyone of all ages. I will definitely be going back to visit again.

Jeremy and Tonya have created a neat place to camp for one night or more. We had signed up for one campsite, but once we arrived, Jeremy helped us pick a site that was better for my car towing a little trailer. The place has a clean outhouse, fun signs around, and my friend Tulio and I were the first ones to try out his new portable shower which we much appreciated after a long day on the road. Jeremy, his brother and a daughter brought a picnic table closer to our site and he offered to set up a fire pit for us if we wanted one. We enjoyed picking some fresh mulberries from a tree right near our tent and gathered some fresh blackberries on a trail at the back end of the camp. In the morning, he brought me a cup of coffee so we sat and had a nice long chat comparing some diverse experiences in life and sharing ideas about ways to add some nice touches to his camp and improve attendance while maintaining its intimate feeling and character. He genuinely enjoys meeting people from other parts of the country and the world who respect the serene quality of his camp.

We went as a group with like 23 people and we had a really good time! The host was amazing, really nice and helpful whenever we needed it. He brought us the firewood that we bought for a very fair price to our campsite and the port a potty was the cleanest port a potty I have ever been in for sure. There was a lot of stuff for our kids to play on ie, swing, playset etc. and there was plenty of space for our group to be a bit spread out but still have a communal place to be together as well. It was really quiet and not crowded since we rented out the whole area on the far side of the creek which was not far at all from our cars! All of my group liked this location and we would like to come back sometime again in the future. 😁

Jeremy was absolutely amazing. The spot was perfect for what we needed, and anytime I messaged Jeremy for something he quickly responded and was ready to help. My only suggestion would be to bring your drinking water! Otherwise, it was a great camping spot for me and my friends!

This is a hidden gem! And so are the people who own it. First let me say, the property is secluded, clean, well lit, packed with firewood, which the owners supplied. Meeting the brothers who own and operate this property will be one of the best parts of your stay. The stories of how this business started, how they preserve the integrity of the natural wildlife and trees, to their comradery around the communal firepit. They have a small campstore that includes MANY items we all forget sometimes! Listen, you'll just have to go there! See for yourself! It guaranteed a great time!

Hosts met me on arrival. I was able to I pick out a secluded site. It was quiet! Picnic table and fire ring and flat space for my tent. Great stay!

When I arrived, Jeremy met me right away. He led me on a short tour of the sites, he on his 4x4 and me on my motorcycle, and I selected one across the creek in a back, secluded area. His brother Steve walked over and offered me a brick to place under my kickstand since the soil is soft after their recent rains. They really do think of everything. Steve even hauled over a big table and brought me some water for washing. The site was great. I pitched my tent under a nice tree and relaxed as I did my daily writing in my travel blog. I would recommend this place for its quiet/secluded features and the friendly and helpful host that Jeremy and Steve are.

Our stay was wonderful! we got in and the host knew us by name and was entirely prepared for our arrival. He was very communicative over text as well and made sure to assist us in any way possible. We stayed near everyone camping and it felt like a personal community.
The son and the dad of the family were extremely helpful. They brought us supplies for our site as well as provided me with a makeshift funnel when I needed to fill my car with oil.
It was a very personal and home-like experience. We felt not only safe but at home. We met the owner's daughter and played corn hole with her and the kids and we enjoyed all of the time we spent.
The family who was camping next to us was kind enough to share food as we did the same and we shared stories and had a great time!
They were super flexible as well with the eclipse. They let us stay later than check out and watch it on their land. It was an amazing experience! They have some chickens and a cow and it was sweet to meet them too!

We went to see the eclipse, and we had a great time! Steven and Jeremy and his family were great hosts, even bringing donuts, coffee, and firewood on the morning of the eclipse. The guests were friendly, and the porta-potty was very clean. Overall a great experience!

Lazy acres was a busy place for the 2024 solar eclipse but the host was super quick to respond to all of our needs. Firewood and items requested from the camp store were delivered directly to the campsite. The primitive sites offered the most privacy but our group preferred the sites with the option to drive up. For us the convenience was worth having some neighbors (who were also cool). The fire pits were a little challenging for cooking when compared to “traditional”campgrounds, but the host literally cut a barrel, ground the edges and arranged for a grate and all within a matter of minutes. I was impressed. We were treated like family and we all had a wonderful time.

We enjoyed tent camping at Lazy Acre. It felt like a nice state park. We were there for solar eclipse so all the sites were occupied but there were still plenty of privacy. The owners are really friendly and very helpful. The drive from highway to their property is really enjoyable. Recommend to anyone!

I stayed here for the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse. This place is very beautiful with lot of nice camping areas. Jeremy and Steven were very helpful and friendly. Communication was clear and prompt. I had a great eclipse viewing. Would definitely recommend it anyone looking for a getaway in that area.

Couldn’t imagine a better setting or people with which to experience the 2024 eclipse. The camp is a great place for adults wanting a more secluded site and kids looking to make friends as well. The owners have a camp store they run and offer lots of amenities and necessities that may have been forgotten when packing. Very friendly group of people, they built the camp originally for family members and they treat you like extended family when you stay here! They checked in on us frequently even with how many people were there for the event, and in the morning they put out hot coffee and donuts.

This was a great place to stay. The hosts were very nice and helpful. They provided firewood and had plenty of food and gear to offer at a very reasonable price. They also helped us out when our sleeping pad sprung a leak. We'd definitely stay here again if we pass through the area in the future.

Stayed for the eclipse with my partner. Hosts were friendly and super accommodating. Was absolutely perfect for what we came for. Cozy and quiet. Scenery is mostly farmland but the actual site is in a nice little wooded area. Would 100% stay again if we were around that area.
