Whitney was so wonderful! We had to make a sudden change in plans and they were very accommodating. Communication was top notch. We will definitely be staying with them in the futures!

Hidden Valley Fun Time Happy Camp!
We had a great time as a family and enjoyed our stay overall. The only downside was that the nearby train tracks made it a bit hard to sleep due to the frequent trains.

Whitney was great, he welcomed us into the camp, started the fire for us as we came in from out of town after sunset. We would recommend staying there, & will more than likely travel through that way to see Whitney again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay on Whitney's property! The place is easy to use, the river was calming and the place is full of whimsy. Very close to shops, if needed. Whitney was quick to respond and showed us around before we set up camp.

Nice little place to camp and get away from college! Loved the little trails but the entrance was the coolest thing! The host was nice and communicative the whole time!

Hidden Valley Fun Time Happy Camp!
Amazing spot with enough privacy and yet still close enough to other campers if you want company. Beautiful property right on the river either well curated trails and river walks. Whitney was friendly, trusting, and even accommodated our request for a specific type of site. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to feel like you’re away from the city but still close enough for beer/food runs if needed.

First time camping with my two boys. Whitney made the experience very enjoyable for all. Greeted us upon arrival and provided us with a tour of the property. The site was perfect for a quick getaway. Will definitely return!

Camping With So Much Imagination!
This place is an absolute gem of a spot. Hosts were exceptional - friendly, attentive and really excited to share their special place in the woods with others. There is SO much to explore on the intertwining web of trails. Look for BigFoot in the woods, hike the mini Appalachian and Kentucky Bourbon Trails - all created by Whitney, the host, and his imagination in creating a great space. This place is fantastic for families with kids, but also sparks delight in the imaginations of elder campers too! It allows for more mature parties to have some privacy to feel like they are alone in the wilderness. We are so happy we stumbled across this Hipcamp posting, and we will be recommending this place to all of our local friends for future adventures! Thank you Whitney and Casey!

My son and I went on a last weekend camping trip before starting college, and this place was such an amazing getaway for us.
Whitney was so accommodating and friendly, and made us feel right at home.
The setting of this place is so charming, and it has an amazing eclectic feel.

Always a blast! Every campsite we’ve stayed at has been magical! It will be hard to choose next time we come 😝 Be sure to bring the inner tubes when you come here! The rapids are perfect for kids to explore!

Hidden Valley Fun Time Happy Camp!
Whitney's property is a hidden gem! Located close to restaurants/gas stations/etc but you feel all alone in the woods at the same time. Upon arrival, Whitney met me and showed me to my campsite. Nestled close to the White River was a fire pit and trails meandering through the woods. We also spent a couple hours at nearby Mounds State Park. My dogs and I had a blast. Highly recommend!

Great site located close to the river and within a short distance of stores. You can hear traffic, but you definitely cannot see it. Everything about the site is a fairy tale. A lot of work has gone into the site to make it feel like an escape. We felt safe and could relax. The owner and his family were friendly and helpful.
They checked in with us a few times during our stay and brought us a beverage and toilet paper.
The only things that could make this site better would be the option of an electric hookup and a fresh porta-potty with a latching door.

Such a fun place to stay, especially with our kids. The campsite was large and pretty private, and the trails and river were great for exploring. We loved it.

The spot where we were at was nice, definitely spacious! the swings on the river The kids really enjoyed! landscape around our camp not so amazing. Lots of trails for us to explore, but there was a lot of miscellaneous trash spread throughout the property.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time camping here. Whitney was kind and showed us around the property when we arrived. He also mentioned a few good places around to eat as well. This camp spot is very close to town, less than 5 minute drive to Walmart. It was nice for going to get ice or anything you may have forgotten, but also know it is in Muncie. We caught a couple fish and or dogs enjoyed splashing in the river.
We brought our popup camper and handle ample space to set up as well as access to electric. If you’re looking for something with access to water, close to town, but in the woods this was a great spot.

Tent camping here was so beautiful and peaceful. Not many other people around, which was nice. The view was so beautiful. Makes one feel secluded yet not far away from everything. Would love to return.

Hidden Valley Fun Time Happy Camp!
Loved our tent/hammock experience here! We were right on the river and our kids enjoyed playing the whole time. Whitney was super kewl and helpful. He also has kayaks and offered to pick us up for a small fee and if we wanted to float the river and even told us about some cool places to check out nearby. We already plan on coming back next year

Hidden Valley Fun Time Happy Camp!
Honestly thought taking 6 teenagers out into the woods with no electricity was going to be a struggle, but this was such an enjoyable experience! It was raining for half of it, but the over cover was amazing. Our fire never went out! Then having rope swings over the river and Whitney came to our site to give us tips and pointing out the incredible eagles nest for us, our kids were having a blast! The whole park was so interesting, we were constantly walking around and finding something new.
And then be able to have an eagle and a doe come right into our camp?? Unforgettable!! The doe actually came face to face with the oldest as he slept in a hammock! These are hands down, the best memories we will treasure!

We were pleasantly surprised at how unique this is. Whitney is an awesome camp host. He greeted us and showed us around. He has put a lot of work into this place, It definitely shows. From lights strung around, an owl placed with glowing eyes , etc. The river was lots of fun, perfect for wading, floating, adults and the kids loved it. We went for one night to check it out, we enjoyed ourselves so much, ended up staying two nights. Our neighbor campers brought their dog. It was fun to watch the dogs play in the water. This is perfect for adults, and also perfect for small kids and families. It is secluded , not crammed in like you are at bigger campgrounds. definitely will be back, and recommending to others.

Hidden Valley Fun Time Happy Camp!
This was our third time coming. And we absolutely loved it! We had a group of three families. We cold plunged in the river. Kids biked all over. Floated down the river. Cooked over the fire. Saw everything from the bald eagles to Boston orioles. Whitney is an absolute delight. He’s kind and creates such a rich and wonderful space. We’ll be back. Many more times. It’s a magical space.

Loved the set up site, beautiful views, very nice and helpful staff. This place is truly a hidden Gem. I was surprised by how it felt like we were the only ones there though we werent. Kid and pet friendly. I loved how there is a theme to each site. Will definately come again.
