Creature comforts
Enjoy the comforts of home at some sites—including flush toilets, showers, and a kitchen.
Our retreat property is in a walkable neighborhood with 3 yoga studios nearby one mile to the ocean, 1.5 miles to the best beach on Big Island, and a short drive to many tide pools and a volcanic hot spring on the beach. Our center is part of HIVE Hawaii (you can research us online) where we host co-living, co-working, and co-healing programs, and encourage folks to join us who resonate with our vision for Healing Inspiring Village Experiences (HIVE). Many of our residents are part of the ecstatic dance community, offer some kind of healing and/or arts practice, or are digital nomads--including a mix of short-term visitors and long-term residents. The number of residents varies from 3-20 depending on the day (averaging around 7 adults sharing the community kitchen) As a guest, you will share our comfy retreat house with other residents to access a full kitchen, bathrooms, wifi and lounges. Our property is small, but has coconut, avocado, guava, and a rainbow eucalyptus tree and a small garden with herbs and veggies you're welcome to share. We encourage healthy eco-conscious products and often share delicious meals with one another in a spontaneous way in the shared kitchen. We offer the opportunity to plug in with community right away and to be in a supportive space that encourages healing and creativity. Join us!

Furnished Glamping Tent
The Hive offers a unique opportunity to dip into a community of healers. Lotus has intimate knowledge of the many yoga classes and events that happen in the area. She also knows the nicest beaches, hikes and local restaurants. The Pahoa area is special in it’s history of attracting people with alternative vision and the Hive is a great example. The tent is simple, clean and dry. Outdoor shower and sink new and nicely build. Access to a flush toilet from the outside is very practical and easy. The soundscape of frogs and insects at night is a wonderful background to fall asleep. We had no issue with bugs tge whole time we stayed in Pahoa. I would highly recommend the Hive as a place to spend your time in Puna.
