I bought my property over 20 years ago when it was even more wild.  I walked out past the trees, saw the marsh and fell in love. It is part of an old Spanish land grant. Across the intracoastal from this property is Guana state park, where some of the names it has held are:  Indian burial ground, Our Lady of Guadalupe of Tolomato Mission,  and Indigo plantation.  Being so close we have wildlife cross the river at times.  The marsh behind the house is protected.  And I try to do my part by decreasing use of pesticides, fertilizers, and picking up windblown trash.

    Moon Dolphin St Augustine Campsite
    Steve and Ann were great hosts; friendly and responsive! The directions were clear. The site is beautiful and thoughtfully designed. The communal cooking shelter was so nice to be able to cook out of the rain (or sun if you are so lucky!) Easy access to St Augustine. We had a nice time at Moon Dolphin!

    Beautiful, secluded, peaceful
    AMAZING HIPCAMP! in the heart of it all, just a short 10 min drive to the beach this place can’t be beat. Super friendly hosts, great location in a secluded Florida Paradise. Huge fire pit, and a great cooking area covered and netted from bugs. The hot shower was a delight after a long day of driving, wish we could of stayed longer. We will be back SOON!
