(8) Upper Tuolumne Camp
Close to Yosemite with clean shower
The place is conveniently located for visiting Yosemite. It’s about 1 hour drive to valley and 15 min to park entrance. There is a small grocery store and gas station 5 minutes from camp. Quiet with great views from camp site. Site was not level for my Campervan but it didn’t take much to get it level. It does have nice level pads for tents.
Very clean place with the nicest clean showers I ever seen at a Campground. Definitely would stay there again.
(4) Main Tuolumne Camp
Pros: an hour from Yosemite Village; fairly clean bathrooms with limited use (guests only) and good ventilation (open the door for a short while); thoughtful provision of potable water and a campsite trash can by the hosts. Cons: random debris and trash strewn around the entrance drive up to the campsites; trash bins provided at each campsite might attract bears if food scraps are deposited in them; no bear boxes at each campsite despite a known bear frequenting the dumpster (but guests may store food and other bear-attracting items in the custodial closet, upon request); unwelcoming signs at the entrance intended to keep trespassers out but still off-putting to guests.

(4) Main Tuolumne Camp
We had an incredible stay at Campsite Number 4! The location is simply beautiful and just 15 minutes from the entrance of Yosemite National Park, making it the perfect base for our adventures.
Liza and Tom were amazing hosts—very responsive and helpful throughout the weekend. The facilities were top-notch; the bathrooms and shower were clean and provided hot water, which felt fantastic after a long day of hiking.
While fires aren’t allowed in the area, the propane fire ring provided by our hosts kept us warm and cozy at night. We truly enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend this campsite to anyone planning a trip to Yosemite. We can’t wait to return and explore different campsites on this property!

(9) Tenaya Camp
We really enjoyed our stay at Liza and Tom’s land. It was easy to find, and it’s very close to the entrance to Yosemite- super convenient location for visiting the park. The bathrooms are pristine! So clean, spacious, and private. The hot showers and provided towels were wonderful after a day of hiking. All of the campsites have a level platform or other level surface (ours was sand) for a tent which is so nice. The only thing to consider is that these campsites are right off the highway so there is noise from cars, and there are huge power lines going over the campsites which produces a buzzing sound at all times. In this way, it doesn’t feel like a nature escape, but it gets you as close to the park entrance as possible so it’s more than a fair trade-off if you’re planning to drive into the park! The surrounding hills are beautiful and the sunsets are spectacular.

(5) Yosemite Falls
I loved camping in this area with only a 40 min drive to the entrance of Yosemite and a 3 min drive to the nearest diner with yummy food there's no going wrong with this place. My site was#5 and it had a lovely view of the waterfall and soothing sound to go to bed. The hosts were lovely and amenities were superb!
