Woodmill Cottage
I enjoyed my 3 nights at the cozy and rustic cottage. The best feature is the deck overlooking the creek with the cool late afternoon breeze and a view of the lush trees . The cottage is very close to Henry Cowell SP and about 15 min drive to Santa Cruz so makes for a very convenient base to explore the area. Linda and Scott are warm and friendly and have lots of helpful info re the area.

Quaint cabin with lovely hosts!
Scott and Linda were lovely and very responsive to messages, questions, and requests. Check in/out was very smooth and easy. The cabin is quaint and rustic. The bed was surprisingly very comfortable. Staying here felt like what Airbnb used to be with people offering up their funky extra spaces for a reasonable price vs the luxury vacation home market that it is now. Definitely a great option if you are looking for reasonably priced accommodations that are somewhere between camping and a hotel. You will not find nicer hosts!

Woodmill Cottage
A cute cottage
Linda was extremely warm and welcoming, and the spot is overlooking a stream. The bed was comfy, and the deck was nice to lounge out on. Some things could be improved upon: - The doors to the cottage have large gaps, and won’t close properly, which led to mosquitoes entering and biting me. - The sink pump didn’t work, so there was no running water. One must enter the main house for this. - There could be more privacy. The cottage is very close to (next to) the main house. When I was packing up, I was being observed, and this felt uncomfortable to me when I was out on the deck. A privacy fence or lattice fence would really help to make it feel more private, primarily between the deck and the main house. Overall, it was an affordable place to stay, and the hosts are working on improvements. It’s close to hiking and shopping, and Linda was very hospitable. I would’ve preferred more privacy after checking in.

10/10!
Linda and Scott were wonderful hosts! The space was exactly as described and super comfy. Beautiful views and trails nearby that lead to a waterfall and swimming hole. My husband, dog, and I would definitely stay here again! Thank you for your hospitality!
