Learn more about this land: Pull off the highway into this easily accessible pull-through site and be transported from the city to the country where you will have views of a pasture that forms the head water of a tributary of the Santa Clara River. The pasture is also home to a flock of California's State bird, the Quail, and the state flower (with enough rain), the Poppy. You may also see coyote and roadrunner visiting the pasture on occasion as well. A pair of nesting Hawks can also be spotted in the transmission tower in the distance, or soaring above the pasture. Enjoy the night time silence interjected with the howl of a coyote or the hoot of an owl. This site is ideal for an overnight stay for roadtrippers, or for those looking for a home base to tour Southern California. This campsite is 56 miles from the Pacific Ocean and 65 miles from Disneyland
